I love this pose for its openness and sense of balance and calm. For beginners it's best practiced on a firm ground. If you're a more seasoned yogi, try doing it on the beach or grass :P . Hope this guide will help you:

1️⃣ From #sideangle / #parsvakonasana on right foot in the front, keep your left hand on the hip. Slide the left foot forward to half between between the feet. Place the right hand in front of your right foot, and to be exact, a little towards the right (outside) too. This will make sure that when you lift up in the final pose, the shoulders will right on top of the hands. If you the right hand can't reach the floor, use a yoga block or even a sturdy water bottle can help too.

2️⃣ Take a deep inhale and lift the chest up and as you exhale, lift the left leg off the ground. You want to see a long straight line from the crown of your head to the left toe tips. Keep the gaze down for easier balance. Once you're steady enough, open your hips to the left hand side so your body becomes flat. However, it's perfectly fine to keep looking down if you're working on your balance.

3️⃣ The key to stay balanced in this pose is to keep the chest lifted. Stay gaze and breath. For more advanced options, lift the left hand up towards the sky and look up to that hand. Or even, lift the right hand off the floor/block.

4️⃣ Stay for 5 - 10 deep breaths. Change side.
