Happy weekend! We had a hearty family breakfast this morning at Trapizza, a casual Italian eatery that sits on Siloso Beach in Sentosa (Official).
The weather was good, the scenery was beautiful, the seaside ambience was laid back, and the food was so authentic that it reminded me of our travels to Italian cities like Venice, Genoa and Rome. Yup, those were the days when we lived in and explored Europe to our hearts' content. For now, being able to have a taste of European fare is something that I appreciate.
The kids loved the wood-fired, thin-crust pizza - we tried the Ham, Cheese and Egg flavour - and they kept asking for slice after slice. The egg on top was an interesting breakfast spin on their signature pizzas and the kids gave their thumbs up to this new topping with the runny yolk.
On the other hand, I loved the Wagyu Minute Steak and Crispy Croffle. The steak was cooked to perfection and the croffle - or waffle pressed croissant - came with this pistachio cream that was a wonderful match and tasted delightful. There's also a Kids Bento set that comes with scrambled eggs, pancakes, chicken sausages, smiley fries, muffin and mixed fruits - all you need to keep the little ones happy.
If you would like to have a private gathering, there is also an air-conditioned dining room that can accommodate 16 guests. Check out more details about the layout in my highlights, I really love their bar which looks like a food van.
Trapizza is just a 5-minute walk from Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa and its all-new breakfast menu is now available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 11am. Do try to come by earlier when there is less of a crowd as the place was quite packed when we left.
Oh, you know what is the best part? The kids get to be entertained by the water fountain, sand play area complete with beach toys and there's the newly opened Nestopia - an unique outdoor play space - just next door too. Parents dine, kids play. Perfect.

Name that dish! This is one of my favorite things to eat. It is normally one of those things I like to eat before a performance. Today, my dear friend took a bunch of us to this Singaporean restaurant called #oldtown just on Wellington St. in Central during our lunch break. I must say, the meat was nice and tender and the rice had a lot of flavor but wasn’t too oily. #yummy it definitely #hithespot
