💭“When in doubt, write it out.” — a gentle reminder as we transition into a new year of unknown.
Lately I’ve been finding comfort in quiet seated meditation and journaling. As the year comes to a close, I’m still trying the process the amount of personal changes I’ve accumulated throughout the year. Growth comes along with change, as change comes with a series of unavoidable decisions on what stays in and out of your focus.
By sitting quietly, the mind learns to take a break on all sensory stimulations. As the external voices quiet down, I find it soothing to open my journal and just write. I don’t always write in full sentences or in my best handwriting, point is to take ten minutes a day to declutter the overloaded mind.
We may all have different approaches to personal wellness. The most important thing is that we find a small, doable daily ritual and stick to it. Let it be taking a long walk, stretching in the morning, or simply making yourself a cup of hot tea... pick something that lights you up and keeps you grounded.
We began the year with curiosity; now we close the year with gratitude. The light within me bows to the light within you, thanking you for being on this journey with me! 🙏🏼
當心裡充滿未知、不確定時,我選擇將在腦海裡飄過的一切寫在白紙上。來到2020的尾聲,我的練習開始融入更多的冥想及書寫。這一年來所累積的改變,說實在的⋯我還在消化當中。成長背後一定伴隨著改變,而改變使我們一定要在堅持和放下之間做出選擇。
靜心冥想能幫助我們把活躍的視覺、聽覺感官按下暫停鍵。當外界的雜音越來越小時,我才能夠專心地將內心的聲音整理成一行一行的文字。寫下的不一定是最完整的字句,且字跡不完全工整⋯但每天花十分鐘把腦袋的垃圾分類、清空已經慢慢成為每日必需。
每個人需要的自我照護方式不盡相同,可能是獨自散步、晨間伸展,甚至是很簡單地為自己沖泡一杯熱茶⋯ 最重要的是我們找到自己喜歡、能夠每天做到的一件小事,讓心更能夠定下來。
我們帶著好奇心揭開今年的序幕,也準備懷著感恩的心結束這不容易的一年。感謝這一路上能與大家相遇,願我們在這條路上能夠一起發光發亮!✨

Last night, I had a huge fight with my parents. I was screaming at my dad, my mom want me out of the house. All because they don’t allow me to keep my cat Ruru (Typical Chinese parent).
I was furious, because they were threatened to throw away Ruru which is very dear to me, Ruru was there for me when I was at my lowest point, I CANNOT let anything happen to him.
I shouted at my dad(for the very first time) : “WHYYYY YOU HAVE TO MAKE MY LIFE MISERABLE AGAIN?” 3 of us were really ANGRY, we were so caught up with our emotional we forgot how much we LOVE each other. In fact, yesterday my parent drove for 8 hours all the way from Kelantan to KL just to visit me and my brother. The fight didn’t end and I just left.
I bring my anger to sleep, hoping everything will be fine when I wake up the next morning.
But No, I am still very angry the next morning!
Then suddenly, I though of @vishen . I go to his website, check out his Meditation Programme, I did what he told, the moment i finish meditate and open my eyes, I feel there’s a huge energy change within me. I don’t feel angry anymore, I am wild awake, feeling so energetic and most important thing is I Forgive, my parents and myself.
The moment I do that, I starting to feel Love and receive love. Later on my parents starting to call me out for lunch, cares about me. I took the first awkward step of saying I Am Sorry di mi, we hugged❤️ and we all had a wonderful day.
Here’s what I learned :
1. When the moment you caught up with your emotions, let your soul step out of your body, and look at yourself, if you don’t like what you see, STOP DOING IT! Breathe and Calm yourself.
2. I know Family sometime can a pain in the ass, but they all mean well, they loves you no matter what, just that everyone have different understanding and different thoughts.
3. Meditate everyday, so you can learn how to control your emotions more.
4. We have to learn how to take that awkward step of saying sorry, and ask for forgiveness. Gratitude towards everything.
5. Always put this 4 thing in your mind.
-I Love You
-I’m sorry
-Please Forgive me
-Thank you
To Chinese parents out there : cats are not evil, give them a chance.
