At 22 weeks, her kicks and movements are still subtle on the surface. But this little girl is definitely an active one. I sent this video to my family, @kitchng said 'Such a feisty little rat.' He can't be more right. Haha! With Deon and mine temperament combined, I'm not expecting any less of her. Lol
I always hear mothers-to-be marvel at how amazing pregnancy is, and how magical it is to feel the baby move inside the belly. Growing rapidly day by day, getting stronger with her movements by the day. It indeed is an amazing feeling. Unfortunately dads don't get to experience this magic. I can lay there for a really long time just watching my belly tremble and feeling her move - sometimes gliding right under my palm, sometimes giving me a sudden punch, sometimes nudging me with her tiny, little butt.
It's so amazing how nature works. I'm just in awe how an egg and a sperm can produce this amazing being that's growing in my belly by the second!
I'm truly savouring every moment of this incredible journey.

If you have lots of physical might and power (influence, resources, abilities), you will be tempted to rely on them to solve problems.
This is the challenge that believers face when they have greatly increased in blessings.
Refocus often to see that the Holy Spirit who lives in you is your greatest advantage.
When you rely on natural might and power, you are settling for less because the power of the Holy Spirit can exceed natural means, without causing any compromise or collateral damage.
What if you have no might nor power? For example, if you’re experiencing sickness in your body and the medical bills have been sapping away your savings, you fall in this category.
Then you can be encouraged that you still have access to the greatest advantage in the world: you have the power and wisdom of God on your side, through the Holy Spirit who lives in you.
Even the poorest, sickliest Christian can benefit from the Holy Spirit, through receiving by faith.
This is the Grace of God—He gives us access to Heaven’s greatest treasure. We have Christ in us to help us with everything in life.
““Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”” (Luke 11:11-13 WEB)
In Abba God’s eyes, the Holy Spirit is the best gift that you can receive—far exceeding material blessings.
When you have the Holy Spirit, you have the Creator of all created things.
However, the worldly way of thinking is, “Okay great, I have the Holy Spirit. Whatever. I would rather receive a million dollars.”
Many believers don’t understand that the key to receiving everything they need is the Holy Spirit inside them.
The Holy Spirit is like the great connector that links us up with Abba God and Jesus. God’s power and wisdom are sent to us through the omnipresent Holy Spirit who is both in Heaven and on earth.
When you disdain your fleshly might and power, you become eligible to receive God’s might and power through the Holy Spirit who takes what is from Jesus and reveals it unto you.
I pray you will receive the revelation that whenever a “mountain” presents itself, your first response should be to look away from the might and power you have, and rely on the Holy Spirit inside you.
Instead of climbing the mountain that you see ahead of you, which would be relying on might and power, speak to that mountain and watch the power of the Holy Spirit turn it into a plain.
Prayer for the day:
Lord Jesus, help me to be sensitive to Your promptings through the Holy Spirit. Whatever might or power I have is because of Your Grace. I lay them at Your feet and fully rely on Your Spirit for any challenges ahead. I choose to enjoy Your best for me by being Spirit-led instead of settling for less by depending on my flesh. Amen.

Remember the expression “tough/hard nut to crack”? Well, 1⃣ “tough/hard egg to crack” has exactly the same meaning. Ex: For many language learners, English is a tough egg to crack.

Eggs are probably one of the easiest things to cook—just plop them in a pot and boil for three minutes. 2⃣ So if someone “can’t boil an egg,” it means they’re a bad cook, or can’t cook at all. Ex: Lots of millennials can’t boil an egg.

If you’ve read Aesop’s Fables, you know the story The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs. A farmer owns a goose that lays a golden egg every day, and thinks there must be a big lump of gold inside it. So he kills it and cuts it open, only to find no gold. 3⃣ “Kill the goose that laid the golden eggs” therefore came to mean to destroy a source of wealth through stupidity or greed. Ex: Why would he quit his civil service job? That would be killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.

提到goose egg鵝蛋,在英文裡也可以指競賽中沒有獲得任何分數,也就是中文的「零分,拿鴨蛋」意思。如:I got a goose egg on the quiz this morning.(我今天早上小考考了零分。)最後,lay an egg原本指「下蛋」,也可以延伸為「在公共場合下出糗,搞砸事情」,如:The teacher tried to tell a funny joke, but he laid an egg.(那位老師本來想說個笑話,但他搞砸了。)

【作り方】
①ホワイトチョコレートを細かく割って、沸騰直前まで温めた生クリームを加えて溶かしておきます。
②クリームチーズを電子レンジ600wで30-40秒温めてボウルにいれて、泡だて器でクリーム状にします。
③グラニュー糖、サワークリーム、卵白を3回に分けて加えながらその都度良く混ぜて、溶かしておいたホワイトチョコレートを加えて、こし器でこします。
④クックパッドさんの【一気にできる!ケーキに「クッキングシート」をラクに敷く方法 】を参考にして敷いてください。
⑤①の型に③を流し入れて160℃に予熱したオーブンで50-55分湯せん焼きにします。
焦げてきたら上にアルミホイルをかけてください。
(途中でお湯がなくなってきたら足します。)
⑥あら熱が取れたら冷蔵庫で一晩冷やして、型から出していちご、ブルーベリー、スペアミントを飾ります。
※ケーキを切る時はお湯でナイフ(包丁)を40℃くらいに温めて切ります。一度切ったら必ずペーパーなどでナイフ(包丁)を綺麗に拭いてから切ってください。

Beef Tartare by Jimmy's Table
If you know me, you know I love my beef tartare. It's something about raw beef that gets me excited, and whenever I see this on a menu, I always order it. This is one of my favorite dishes to eat when dining out. Making this dish is much easier than it looks. My version is a bit elevated with more ingredients to give it more layers. I hope you like it!
Ingredients 食材:
10-16 ounces of raw beef tenderloin or sirloin (沙朗)
2 tablespoons of finely minced shallots (生紅蔥頭)
3 tablespoons of fried shallots (炸紅蔥頭)
1 tablespoon of capers (酸豆)
2 tablespoons of Whole grain mustard (顆粒芥末醬)
2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard (傳統芥末醬)
1 tablespoon of Horseradish (optional) (西洋山葵)
2 tablespoons of Sriracha chili sauce (是拉差香甜辣椒醬)
2 tablespoons of Balsamic vinegar (巴薩米克醋)
2 tablespoons of Extra virgin olive oil (橄欖油)
Black pepper - for taste (黑胡椒)
Salt - for taste (鹽)
Finishing Ingredients 撒料調味:
Arugula (芝麻葉)
Balsamic vinegar (巴薩米克醋)
Extra virgin olive oil (橄欖油)
Parmesan cheese (帕瑪森起司)
Crackers (saltines or wheat crisps) or toasted french bread slices (薄脆餅乾or法國吐司)
Raw egg (yoke only) (生蛋黃)
STEP 1
Prepare the beef for cutting. If the beef is already frozen, then let it defrost a little. If the beef is already defrosted, put the beef in the freezer for 15-20 minutes so that the meat freezes a little and is hard to easily slice. If the beef is too soft (aka defrosted all the way), then it will be really hard to cut the beef into fine slices, strips and cubes. By the time you finish making the dish, the beef will be perfectly cold to eat.

準備牛肉,若是冷凍的稍微解凍一些些,若已解凍則放入冷凍15-20分鐘。解凍的生牛肉較難切成丁狀。不用擔心冷凍的牛肉,當你做完這道菜時,肉也達到可以食用的完美解凍狀態了。
STEP 2
Cut beef slices about 1-2 mm thick. Then take the slices and cut them into 1-2 mm strips. Lastly, turn the beef around and cut the strips into small beef cubes/pieces. Put beef into a large mixing bowl.

將牛肉切1-2公分厚,接著再切成1-2公分的條狀,最後將條狀牛肉切成小丁狀,放入大的攪拌碗中。
STEP 3
In the bowl, add in 2 tablespoons of whole grain mustard, 2 tablespoons of dijon mustard, 1 tablespoons of horseradish, 3 tablespoons finely minced shallots, 3 tablespoons of fried shallots.
步驟 3
接著開始加入調味至碗中:2湯匙顆粒芥末醬、2湯匙傳統芥末醬、1湯匙西洋山葵、3湯匙生紅蔥頭、3湯匙炸紅蔥頭。
STEP 4
Add in 2 tablespoons of Extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of Balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons of Sriracha chili sauce and 1 tablespoon of capers. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt and black pepper. Finally mix everything together evenly.
步驟 4
再加入兩湯匙初榨橄欖油、2湯匙巴薩米克、2湯匙是拉差甜辣醬、1湯匙酸豆。1/2茶匙海鹽及黑胡椒。接著將所有的調味跟牛肉混合均勻。
STEP 5
For plating, start with a bowl of arugula leaves. Add in balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Grind a bit of black pepper for taste.

在碗中放入生芝麻葉,加入巴薩米克醋醬、橄欖油、磨一點點黑胡椒,接著簡單混合。
STEP 6
Drain and lay arugula salad onto plate. Use a metal ring (optional) and lay on top of the salad. Fill in the ring with beef tartare until it is full. Press down on the top to flatten the top. Remove metal ring.

將芝麻葉瀝乾,擺放在盤子中間,用金屬的圓形模型放在盤子中間、生菜上面,將預攪拌好的牛肉填滿模型,接著將模型取掉。
STEP 7
Carefully crack an egg and separate the egg white and egg yoke. Carefully place the egg yoke on top of the beef tartare.
步驟 7
小心地將蛋白及蛋黃分離,將蛋黃放上牛肉塔的上方。
STEP 8
Shred some parmesan cheese on top. Grind a bit of black pepper for taste and plating. Place a spoonful of whole grain mustard on the plate and add a few crackers to the side.
步驟 8
磨一些帕瑪森起司、黑胡椒在整道菜的上面,再放一匙的顆粒芥末醬在旁當佐醬、放上薄脆餅乾或法國吐司當搭配,這道菜就完成了。

Resepi Pai Ayam Lazat
Bahan-bahan (Doh)
2 1/2 cwn tepung gandum
1 sb gula aising
200 gm mentega (disejukkan)
1 biji telur
2-3 sb air sejuk
Bahan-bahan (Inti)
3 sb mentega
1 cwn dada ayam (dipotong dadu)
1/2 biji bawang merah (dicincang)
3 ulas bawang putih (dicincang)
3 sb tepung gandum
2 cwn sayuran campur
1 sk parsli kering
1 sk lada hitam
1 sk garam
1/2 cwn susu segar
1 cwn air
Cara memasak (Pai Ayam)
1. Campurkan mentega sejuk serta tepung gandum. Ramaskan bersama sehingga teksturnya kelihatan seperti serbuk roti.
2. Masukkan gula aising, telur yang dikacau rata dan air sejuk sedikit demi sedikit lalu uli hingga menjadi doh.
3. Balut doh dengan menggunakan baking paper dan sejukkan di dalam peti ais selama 30 minit.
4. Sementara itu, sediakan bahan-bahan inti pula.
5. Panaskan mentega sehingga cair. Tumiskan bawang putih dan bawang merah sehingga naik bau.
6. Masukkan tepung gandum dan gaul sehingga sebati.
7. Masukkan lada hitam, parsli kering dan susu segar. Masak sebentar dan tambahkan dada ayam dipotong dadu. Kacau rata.
8. Masukkan air dan biarkan ayam masak seketika. Tambahkan pula sayuran campur dan masak sehingga mendidih.
9. Perasakan dengan garam secukup rasa. Masak sehingga reneh dan pekat.
10. Keluarkan doh dari peti sejuk dan potong kepada empat bahagian. Satu bahagian doh bersamaan dengan satu acuan pai.
11. Canaikan satu bahagian doh. Pastikan tidak terlalu tebal dan tidak terlalu nipis.
12. Bentukkan doh yang dicanai mengikut acuan pai. Potong lebihan doh dan letak di tepi.
13. Lakukan perkara yang sama kepada tiga lagi bahagian doh.
14. Masukkan inti ke dalam acuan pai.
15. Bulatkan kesemua lebihan doh bersama dan canaikan. Kemudian, potong memanjang.
16. Tutup bahagian atas pai dengan jalur-jalur doh. Anyam jalur-jalur doh secara berselang-seli. Potong dan buang bahagian tepi supaya kemas.
17. Sapukan kuning telur pada permukaan atas pai dan bakar pada suhu 180°C selama 30-35 minit.
18. Pai ayam siap untuk dihidangkan.

Scrumptious Chicken Pot Pie Recipe
Ingredients (Dough)
2 1/2 cups of wheat flour
1 tbsp of icing sugar
200 gm butter (chilled)
1 nos egg
2-3 tbsp of cold water
Ingredients (Filling)
3 tbsp of butter
1 cup of chicken breast (diced)
1/2 red onion (minced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
3 tbsp of wheat flour
2 cups of mixed vegetables
1 tsp of dried parsley
1 tsp of black pepper
1 tsp of salt
1/2 cup of fresh milk
1 cup of water
Cooking methods (Chicken Pot Pie)
1. Mix chilled butter with wheat flour and cut in butter until mixture resembles crumbs.
2. Add in icing sugar, lightly beaten egg, and cold water bit by bit. Knead to form a dough.
3. Wrap the dough using baking paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, prepare ingredients needed for the chicken pie filling.
5. Heat butter until fully melted. Saute garlic and red onion until fragrant.
6. Add in wheat flour and mix well.
7. Add in black pepper, dried parsley and fresh milk. Cook for a while and add in diced chicken breast. Mix well.
8. Put in water and let the chicken cook for a while. Add in mixed vegetables and bring to a boil.
9. Then, season with salt to taste and cook until bubbling and thick.
10. Remove dough from the refrigerator and cut dough into four parts. One part of dough is an equivalent of one ramekin.
11. Roll one part of dough. Ensure not too thick and not too thin.
12. Place the dough inside a ramekin and press firmly against bottom and sides. Trim excess dough from edge of ramekin and set it aside.
13. Do the same thing on another three parts of dough.
14. Fill up crust-lined ramekin with creamy filling.
15. Round the excess dough together and roll it. Then, cut the dough into even strips.
16. Lay out each strips on top of the filling. Weave the strips over and under one another forming a beautiful woven pattern. Trim the edges to make it looks neat.
17. Brush the top surface with egg yolk and bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
18. Chicken pie is ready to be served.
