It is difficult to share your feelings when you are restricted to one syllable words - yes or no and nothing between. Eventually, you learn how to compress your emotions to slight curves at the end of your lips and with time, you learn how to crack jokes out of your situation - hoping it will light up the mood. Sometimes, your mind wander off in the middle of a conversation or while you are working in-front your computer, like a glitch in matrix ; the line between harsh reality and beautiful fantasy. Your books are filled with doodles and you love your headset. A moment of bliss. Silent. Complete silence from the chaos in your mind and voices in your head.
All I want to say is, it’s okay to not be okay or to functional differently. It’s okay to not be as normal as the rest because its not okay to pretend that you are alright when you are deeply suffering. Grief if you need to. Isolate. Do whatever it takes that makes you feel better because your mental health is your PRIORITY.

Sometimes, you don’t know your worth. You just don’t know. If you do, then you’d not allow yourself to be mistreated constantly. You think you’ve met the "right" one when he makes you laugh, when he shows that he cares and you believe him without a doubt. If he truly cares, and love you - he wouldn’t want to be the reason for the downfall of your mental health. Yet, you gave him another chance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And when you’ve met the perfect girlfriend, you thought your strike the lottery because she promised to be by your side - through all the seasons. And then, she back stabbed you with the same girl you dislike. Yet, you still allowed her to be your best friend. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You work overtime to get the promotion you’ve eyed since the first day. Lack of sleep and hunger pangs but you still managed to get the project done only to find out the much deserved promotion is offered to someone else who weren’t as much as you did. Yet, you choose to stay in the same job. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You were mistreated over and over again but you always choose to stay because you light a little hope in your heart. You truly believe that things will change and you will be appreciated. Truth is, the only change you need is within yourself. Start valuing yourself and invest as much time you would with them who took you for granted. Love, care and nurture yourself ; strive to be the better person and never allow yourself to be mistreated in any circumstances.

Grounding Technique for Anxiety Attack : ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Acknowledge FIVE things around you - it can be anything. A pen on your desk or your mug. It can be a spot on the wall. Anything that you can see. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Acknowledge FOUR things you can touch around you. It can be your hand or hair. Grass, book, phone or anything. List 4 things you can feel. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Acknowledge THREE things you can hear. Focus on the sound of the clock ticking or the car outside. Keyboard, water dripping and anything that is external. List 3 things you can hear. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Acknowledge TWO things you can smell. This can be tough if you are not in an immediate stimulating situation. Spray freshener or your perfume. You can smell your soap or the fresh smell of nature. Find for a smell, it can be anything. List 2 things you can smell. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Acknowledge ONE thing you can taste. Focus on what you can taste inside your mouth. The coffee from your breakfast or the Sub you had for lunch? Pay attention to what it taste like. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Grounding helps to take your mind off the thoughts that is flooding inside your head. Your thoughts are directly linked to how you feel and they can be moments perceived where we lost control of our thoughts but with the right tools, we can attain sense of control to ensure healthier thoughts.
