Came in 6th out of 13 Elite Athlete today at the VWC Grand Finale in Hong Kong. Timing wasn't that good, learned a lot from this event.

This is how strong the entire field is this morning. We have 15 Kenyans, SEA Games Athlete, National Spartan Athlete, and local season runners. It was really a tough and challenging race. Flagging off with Muhaizar, Luth, Saddam and one of the Kenyan as they release us 5 by 5 for every 20 seconds.
Hit in the stairs first placing, leading all the way up till 13th floors. During this stretch, the Kenyan tried his best to overtake me and I held him off all the way up as I ran at the inner lane.
After at around 10th floor, everyone faded from the back. I was alone came out from the 13th floor and ran to the other part of the stairs.
Running alone, hit up the second part of stairs on my own. 13th to 44th floor.
Doing my best to run up floors by floors and came up from the rooftop first and ran the last 150m round the curve skydeck up there and cross the line first.
I got the medal awarded by the Datuk and happy to see my friends, Saddam racing very hard with the Kenyan and beat him by split seconds. It was a great race, great challenge! Enjoy the magnificent view up there at the peak.

Melaka Hatten Vertical Run 2017.
The first ever tower running in Melaka.

Clocked a 6:49 min for 900 steps, 195m, 45th floors. Overall Champion and Best Malaysian.

Not really satisfied with my timing today but happy to win the title and create the record here. Definitely will be back next year to defend my title.

Thanks @hattenplace for organizing and Pacemaker as the technical director. Well organized race and I love the course and the view up there at the roof top!
