P.12 Busy on working everyday and I had to take care 🐷🐷🐷🐷 on my own and it was quite overloaded to me. Almost a year later, little FatMom Yobi was pregnant again in early 2011. Same as last time, I estimated Yobi’s production date and I requested a day off to assist her.

Anyhow, Yobi laid her babies one day earlier than expected. I just found the little tan bear Kuma and the little blacky Kuby were eating and screaming next to Yobi, but another 2 brothers/sisters were still being wrapped by the rupture of membranes, they had no breathe and also very low body temperature. Sorry Yobi, I failed you.....

暖飲也能消暑!
天時暑熱,很多人都覺得凍飲能消暑解渴,從中醫角度來看,凍飲確能消暑及提供一時的清涼快感,但多喝凍飲會損傷陽氣,亦會損傷脾胃運化水液的功能,加重體內寒濕,令人容易形成小肚腩、水腫及積聚脂肪,亦容易導致痛經、水腫、黑眼圈、臉色暗啞等問題。
夏天喝熱飲會不會越飲越熱?答案是不會的,熱飲能令血管擴張,有助汗液蒸發,從而降低體表溫度,當然不宜太熱飲用以免燙傷。
不喜歡熱飲可以嘗試室溫或和暖的飲品,或者轉飲走冰、常溫飲品開始,如在室內有冷氣的環境,其實喝一杯暖飲也很舒服。也可以自煮有消暑功效的茶療,吃西瓜後剩下的皮不要丟掉,將最外面一層綠色皮切走,留下白色部分就是「西瓜翠衣」,它性涼,有清熱解毒、消暑瀉火、生津解渴及降血壓的作用,對預防中暑、紓緩咽痛、口瘡、口乾、水腫等都有幫助。
西瓜冬瓜綠豆茶
材料:西瓜翠衣(白色部份)約300克、冬瓜連皮約600克(約一斤)、綠豆20克、冰糖適量
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨。西瓜翠衣切塊;冬瓜留皮去籽切塊備用。
2. 鍋內加入2000毫升水,加入所有材料,武火煮至水滾,改文火煮30分鐘,加入適量冰糖即可。
注意:脾胃虛寒、便溏腹瀉、糖尿病患者不宜飲用,月經期間的女士不宜。

Warm drinks can relieve summer heat too!
We tend to think only cold beverages can clear heat and quench our thirst during summer. From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, no doubt, they can clear the summer heat and cool us down, but excessive consumption of cold drinks can also harm the yang energy and disrupt the functions of spleen and stomach in circulating fluids in the body.
Individuals with cold and dampness in the body can even develop a bloated belly and edema and cause fat to accumulate in the body more easily. Problems such as menstrual pain, dark eye circles, and dull complexion can emerge too.
Would heat accumulate in the body if we drink warm drinks during the summer? Not at all! Drinking warm drinks can dilate the blood vessels, which can then induce perspiration and subsequently reduce the body temperature. Nonetheless, it is important not to consume drinks at a high temperature as we can burn ourselves.
Those who do not enjoy warm beverages can consume them at room temperature or without ice. Having a cup of warm drink in an air-conditioned environment can also make us feel better. You can make yourself some herbal tea to relieve the summer heat as well.
Do not throw away the watermelon skin once you have eaten the flesh. Remove the outer coat and keep the white rind. Its white rind is cool in nature and can clear heat and toxins from the body, relieve summer heat, quench one’s thirst, and lower the blood pressure. Eating the white rind can prevent heatstroke and relieve sore throat, canker sore, dry mouth, and edema.
Mung bean tea with watermelon and winter melon
Ingredients: 300g white rind of watermelon, 600g winter melon with skin, 20g mung beans, appropriate amounts of rock sugar
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Cut white rind of the watermelon into pieces. Seed winter melon, keep melon skin on and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2000ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Add rock sugar to taste.
Note: It is not suitable for those with asthenic spleen and stomach, loose stools, diarrhea, diabetes or ladies during menstruation.

【Ingredients】20cm frying pan
1Egg 60g
10g Suger
25g Cake flour
2g Baking powder
5g Unsalted butter
1tsp Soy milk(or Milk) 豆
100g Heavy Whipping cream
50g Cream cheese
15g Granulated sugar
Strawberries
For Sprinkle
Cocoa powder
【Directions】
①Lightly beat egg.Warm it with hot water while mixing until it gets to body temperature.
***When the egg is warmed up to body temperature, it will foam up faster.
***Make sure the mixture won’t get too warm as too much heat will cook the Eggs.
②Take it out of the hot water.Add sugar and mix well.
③Warm soy milk and butter together.
④Whip it with hand mixer on high speed. If it becomes heavy, whip on low speed to change big bubbles into small bubbles.
⑤Whip well until it falls smoothly and its trace remains for a moments.
⑥Sift cake flour, baking powder and mix with spatula.
⑦Add soy milk and butter and mix.
⑧Heat a frying pan over medium heat, then place the pan on a damp cloth briefly to reduce the heat.
Pour the batter into the pan.
⑨Cover and heat for 10-14 minutes on low.
Please note: the suggested time is just a guideline and it’s based on the stove and frying pan that I'm using.
⑩Remove the cake from the pan and wrap it with plastic wrap while it's warm.Let it cool.
⑪Make Cheese cream
Place the bowl with whip cream inside a bowl with ice water and beat the cream.
⑫Put the cream cheese in a bowl. Mix it until smooth. Add granulated sugar.
⑬Add the whipped cream to the cream cheese , and fold it until combined.
⑭Spread the cheese cream over the sponge and put on strawberry in the middle secure.
⑮Wrap it with Plastic wrap.Cool it in the fridge for 30min.
⑯Sprinkle cocoa powder.
【材料】口径20cm フライパン
卵(L) 60g
上白糖 10g
しっとり生地にするため上白糖ですが、他のお砂糖でもok
薄力粉 25g
ベーキングパウダー 2g
無塩バター 5g
豆乳(or 牛乳) 小さじ 1
生クリーム 100g
クリームチーズ 50g
グラニュー糖 15g

【作り方】
①ボウルに卵を割れ入れ軽くほぐしたら、ボウルの底を湯せんでさっと温める。
***共立ての場合人肌よりやや低いくらいにに卵を温めたほうが立ちやすくふっくらとした生地になります。
温めすぎるとキメの粗い生地になるので温めすぎ注意です。
②お湯から外したらすぐに砂糖を加える。
③小さな容器に豆乳とバターを入れて湯せんにかけておく。
④高速で立て始め、生地がだんだん重くなってきたら、最後低速で30秒ほど回して泡を一定にする。
⑤生地がもったりと落ちるくらいになればOk。
***生地に爪楊枝を刺すと沈まずに立ちます。
⑥ここに薄力粉、ベーキングパウダーをふるって加え、ゴムベラで混ぜる。
⑦豆乳、バターをぐむベラで受けながら加えて混ぜる。
***油脂が入ってからはあまり混ぜすぎないこと。
⑧フライパンを中火で熱し、全体に油をひいてペーパーなどでかるくふき取っておく。濡れ布巾などの上で一旦冷やしてから極弱火で再度温め、生地を流す
***クレープを焼くとき同様、こうすることで均等に綺麗に焼き上がります。
⑨ふたをして極弱火で約10-14分ほど焼く。
***焼き時間はご家庭の調理器具やガス台によって変わりますので時間はあくまでも目安として、調整をお願いします。
⑩表面が乾いて焼き上がったら取り出して、ラップでくるんでそのまま冷ます。
***ラップなしで冷ますと乾燥してくるむときに生地が割れることがあります。
●チーズクリームを作る
⑪生クリームは緩くたてる。
⑫クリームチーズはお砂糖を加えて柔らかくしておく。
⑬生クリームとチーズをよく混ぜ合わせる。
●仕上げる
⑭スポンジ生地の上にチーズクリームを厚く塗り、真ん中に苺をしっかりと押し込む。
⑮ラップできっちりと包んだら冷蔵庫で30分から1時間落ち着くまで冷やす。
⑯お好みで上にココアをふり、出来上がり^^

I made a gorgeous fresh caramel with chocolate-colored caramel and brightly colored raspberries on top. You can add spices if you like for a more mature taste.
*Recipe*.
1.Crush 5g of dried raspberries appropriately.
2.Put 320g of granulated sugar, 50g of starch syrup and 80g of water in a pan and heat.
3.Boil gently over small medium heat without stirring until caramelized.
4.Remove from the heat and when it stops boiling, stir in 200ml of fresh cream and 80g of unsalted butter.
5.Bring to a simmer over stronger low heat while mixing.It will take quite a while.
6.Pour a few drops of the caramelized liquid into ice water, scoop it up by hand, and check how well it is boiled down.If it doesn't stick to your hands and forms a lump, it's OK. At first, you may be confused about how much to boil down, but this is what caramel looks like.
7.Remove from heat and add spices if you like. This time, I sprinkled cinnamon powder 45 times and nutmeg powder 10 times.
8.Pour 1cm thick into a mold with an oven sheet.This time I used an 18cm square mold.There was a little leftover caramel liquid, so I put it in another mold.
9.When cooled slightly, sprinkle with (1) dried raspberries.
10.Place in the refrigerator to chill.
11.While still cold, cut into pieces. It is difficult to cut into pieces when it becomes soft, so cut while cooling in the refrigerator. This time, I cut it into pieces of about 3✖️2.2cm.
12.Done.They soften quickly even at body temperature, so it's hard to wrap them in parchment paper. This time, I wrapped them in an oblate that I bought at a pharmacy. It's easy to wrap and easy to eat.

*レシピ*
1.ドライフランボワーズ 5gを適当に砕いておく。
2.鍋にグラニュー糖 320g、水飴 50g、水 80gを入れ火にかける。
3.小さめの中火でかき回さずに静かにキャラメル色になるまで煮る。
4.火からおろし、沸騰がおさまったら、生クリーム 200ml、無塩バター 80gを入れ混ぜる。
5.強めの弱火にかけ、混ぜながら煮詰める。結構時間かかります。
6.氷水にキャラメル液を数滴たらし、手で掬い上げ、煮詰め具合を確認する。手につかず塊になったらOKです。最初は煮詰め具合に迷うけど、キャラメルってこんな感じだなってなります。
7.火からおろし、お好みでスパイスを加える。今回、シナモンパウダー 45回、ナツメグパウダーを10回振り入れました。
8.オーブンシートを敷いた型に1cmの厚さに流し込む。今回、18cmのスクエア型を使用。キャラメル液が少し余りましたので別の型に入れました。
9.少し冷めたら(1)のドライフランボワーズを散らす。
10.冷蔵庫で冷やす。
11.冷えているうちに切り分ける。柔らかくなると切り分けづらいので、冷蔵庫で冷やしながら切る。今回、3✖️2.2cm程度に切り分けました。
12.でけた。体温でも柔らかくなるのが早いのでパーチメントペーパーには包みづらいです。今回、ボンタンアメのように薬局で買ったオブラートに包んでみました。ラッピングしやすく食べやすいです。
