EA ได้ประกาศอย่างเป็นทางการว่า Apex Legends เกม Battle Royale จาก Respawn Entertainment จะเปิดให้บริการเป็นเกม Free-to-Play บน Steam พร้อมกับเนื้อหาคอนเทนต์ของ Season 7 ในวันที่ 4 พ.ย. นี้

โดยผู้ที่เคยเล่นเกมนี้บน Origin มาก่อน ก็สามารถเข้ามาเล่นบน Steam และใช้ความก้าวหน้าที่เคยทำได้ รวมไปถึงของปลดล็อคต่างๆ ร่วมกัน 2 แพลตฟอร์มได้เลย

นอกจากนี้เพื่อฉลองกับอีเวนต์ใหญ่ในครั้งนี้ ผู้เล่น Apex Legends บน Steam จะได้รับตุ้งหนิงห้อยปืนเป็นลายที่ได้แรงบันดาลใจจาก Portal และ Half-Life ฟรีๆ อีกด้วย (รูปแบบตามในภาพเลย)

ก่อนแพทช์อัปเดตล่าสุดของ Fortnite ตัวเกมใช้เนื้อที่มากถึง 90GB แต่หลังจากการอัปเดตล่าสุดนี้ ทำให้ขนาดไฟล์ของเกม ลดลงเหลือ 26.5GB เท่านั้น

Epic ได้เผยว่า เป็นผลมาจากการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการทำงานบางอย่างบน PC ทำให้ขนาดไฟล์ลดลงอย่างมาก นอกจากขนาดเกมจะลดลงกว่า 60GB แล้ว ตัวเกมยังสามารถโหลดเกมได้เร็วขึ้นและประสิทธิภาพการโหลดที่เสถียรขึ้น
