MOFA invited over 100 alumni of its International Youth Ambassadors Exchange Program and foreign students in #Taiwan from #NewSouthboundPolicy countries to the ‘#PostCOVID Youth Leadership’ seminar recently to engage in dialogue, exchange and a little bit of dancing!
Deputy Minister Tien Chung-kwang addressed the fun-filled forum, with attendees including Ambassador Dilmei Louisa Olkeriil of #Palau and Ambassador Jarden Kephas of #Nauru, stating that despite the challenges in 2020, Taiwan has shown its resilience in the face of adversity, in what has been a #PublicHealth miracle that has earned praise around the world.
The #arts, public health and #DigitalTechnology were the focus of discussion, along with special performances from Nauru’s former President Carren-Tai Waqa, Indian students from National Taiwan University and former youth ambassadors.
There are now over 1,700 alumni of the International Youth Ambassadors Exchange Program, which launched in December of 2009.
