It's funny when I look back on the past 4 years on how my photography has developed and evolved. It's been a crazy journey for me but it makes me proud to realise that I have grown a lot--both as a person and as an artist.
2010 and before was when I was just playing around with my dad's digital camera. It was fun and I used my Canon 500D which was a great beginner's camera. Shamefully though, I admit I was using auto mode...
2011 was when I decided I wanted to be more invested into photography and I started to self-learn by researching online and finding some photographers whom I admire and studied their work. That was the year I got my 7D.
2012, I did more and more portraits and started some fashion work too as well as conceptual photography.
2013 was my biggest year--moving to Taiwan and then New York and doing shoots in both places. I came back to Malaysia and shot there too and I started to do a lot more conceptual/surreal shoots and fashion portraiture. I was beginning to accept client jobs too. I had my first solo exhibition in Malaysia too. By the end of 2013, I bought my 5DM3, a camera I had coveted and loved for the longest time. Now for 2014, I intend to reach to newer heights and keep improving by doing what I love. <3
I couldn't have done it without all the people I've worked with and met along the way: other photographers, models, makeup artists and just artists in general. :) Thank you for everything. Let's keep creating!
