今日是香港賽馬會、香港體育學院和恆基兆業地產對亞運得獎運動員頒發獎金的日子，感恩的再一次得到現金獎勵。我對恆基今次的額外加碼感到十分驚喜，因為所有得獎運動員比以往獲得多一倍的現金獎勵！
由於早前「山竹」的探訪令到「我的家—沙田賽艇中心」受到了嚴重破壞！香港隊的器材幸運地能放置於早前由體院重建時，為賽艇隊建築的一座放置器材中心, 所以直接地保護了港隊的訓練器材，從而減少了香港隊器材的破壞及損失。但不論是港隊成員、其他屬會或大學艇隊甚至初學者，我們都必須使用沙田賽艇中心的設施，特別是碼頭。但是，如今碼頭設備受到嚴重破壞，基於安全理由，協會暫停港隊和所有的水上訓練及活動。
大家都知，香港賽艇協會一直推動賽艇運動不遺餘力，甚至免費提供計劃給學生和青少年。艇會其中一項宗旨是向全香港市民提供多一種運動項目給他們選擇， 40年以來為無數的學生和青少年帶來正面影響（我同阿妹是其中之一）。
我相信艇會在毫無辦法之下才提出「眾籌計劃」，以重建「我的家—沙田賽艇中心」。
同時雖然今次阿妹（李婉賢）未能於亞運拿到獎牌沒有獎金，但她亦都希望用佢小小的能力去協助艇會，希望「我們的家」盡快得到妥善的維修，因此，我決定將今日得到的獎金的其中一部分捐給艇會。我們會用我們兩姊妹的名義捐助20,000港元予香港賽艇協會，給他們來進行維修。這是我們發自內心的行為，藉此希望能幫助協進行部份維修，令港隊以及所有參與賽艇活動的人士有一個安全和基本的設備去進行水上訓練和活動。
在此我非常感謝賽馬會、體院和恆基的現金獎勵計劃，令我有多少少能力去幫助到我熱愛的運動🙂
Today is the Incentive Awards Presentation Ceremony to the Asian Games Athletes organized by the HK Jockey Club, Hong Kong Sports Institute, Henderson Land Group and I am very grateful to get the cash award again. I am very surprised for the additional cash award from Henderson Land Group as its double the cash awards to all medallists.
In view of the super typhoon, “Mangkhut” across HK in last week, it’s distorted our Home - Sha Tin Rowing Centre (STRC)! It’s lucky that all the HK Team boats and equipment are stored separately at the Boathouse at HKSI, the damages are limited. However, as all the HK Rowing Team, other Clubs members, universities crews, beginners must use the STRC facilities, particularly pontoon for rowing activities. But now due to the serious damage of the pontoon, the HKCRA needs to stop the training of HK Team and all rowing activities for safety reason.
We all know that HKCRA always promote the sport of rowing in HK actively, they will even offer some free courses for the juniors and students. One of the objectives of the HKCRA is to provide another sport for all Hong Kong people. In the past 40 years, HKCRA has positive influence to many students and juniors (My sister and I are one of them). I believe HKCRA has no other option but to raise money by themselves to rebuild my Home - STRC.
Although my sister (Lee Yuen Yin) didn’t get any medals and so didn’t get any cash award, but she also wants to contribute a little to help to the HKCRA in order to rebuild our Home. Therefore, I also decided to donate part of the cash awards received today to the HKCRA to rebuild the facilities. We will donate HK$20,000 under our name to the HKCRA in order to allow the HKCRA to repair part of the facilities and enable the HK Team, all participants to take part in rowing under a safe and basic facilitates. This action is really from our heartfelt feeling to support our sport.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the generous support from HK Jockey Club, the HKSI, Henderson Land Group in order to allow me to support the sport I love!
