Today, 3rd of January, also the 17th Day of the 11th Lunar Month, is the Holy Birthday of the Amitabha Buddha, one whom we are very familiar with.
There's a saying that every home has a Amitabha Buddha and every household has a Guan Yin Bodhisattva. The Amitabha Buddha has a deep affinity with the sentient beings in the Saha World. According to my Root Guru Master, His Holiness Living Buddha Lian Sheng, the Amitabha spiritual practice is the most supreme among all.
The Pure Land school of Buddhism propagates the Amitabha recitation practice. Please do not look down on this practice, and think, "Oh, I know how to chant the Buddha's name! Even a kid knows!"
But let me tell you, this practice is in fact very difficult because the key to its accomplishment lies in your ability to achieve the state of aviksipta-citta (a mind with no distractions).
Amitabha Buddha has 48 Great Vows. His Pure Land is very perfect, a Buddha country of ultimate bliss, the desired afterlife destination for us. This Pure Land has 4 levels, from the lowest "Land Where Sinners and Saints Dwell", to the highest "Land of Eternal Light".
On the Holy Birthday of Amitabha, you can practice what I have taught previously. You may sit on a chair or sofa in the living room or the study room, and recite His Name respectfully with your palms together. But do remember to wash your face, brush your teeth, rinse your mouth, and preferably take a bath and change into a fresh set of clothing. You may then recite His Name, Na Mo Ah Mi Tuo Fo (or Namo Amitabha), 7, 21, 49 or 108 times, the more the merrier.
You can then dedicate the merits from your recitation to help someone. This person could be yourself, or your family members. You will realise that your merits dedication will be fulfilled because the vows of Amitabha Buddha are most noble.
The Buddha sitting on the head dress of the Guan Yin Bodhisattva is Amitabha, His Root Guru.
The various deliverance practices we do have the ultimate objective of delivering the deceased to the Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha.
This shows the greatness of the Amitabha Buddha. Furthermore, the Amitabha spiritual practice is extremely easy for beginners. However, there is depth to its practice. You must keep your mind undistracted and 100% focused.
Do not look down on this easy practice for it is a formidable one.
Put your heart and soul in reciting the Buddha's name, to help yourself and your family.
Doing the recitation on His holy birthday increase your merits by a hundred-fold. You can also buy a cake and make an offering to the Amitabha Buddha.
I wish for everyone to recite the Amitabha name to eradicate negative karma, to increase your merits and wisdom, to improve your family harmony, to boost your career and to your good health! May all be well and complete, Amituofo.

I have a post below about Libya and Gaddafi. You know the "evil" dictator that America overthrew. The one where Clinton said " We came, we saw, he died." while laughing? A few people still think he was an evil tyrant like Hitler. And America did a good thing by ousting him.
Well...Libya is in ruins now. They openly sell black slaves on the street and use women and children as sex slaves.
And here is what it like back when Gaddafi was in charge:
1. In Libya, a home is considered a natural human right.
In Gaddafi’s Green Book it states:
“Whoever possesses the house in which you dwell, the vehicle in which you ride or the income on which you live, possesses your freedom, or part of it. Freedom is indivisible. For people to be happy, they must be free, and to be free, they must possess the possibility of satisfying their own needs. Whoever possesses the means of fulfilling your needs controls or exploits you, and may enslave you despite any legislation to the contrary.
The material needs of people that are basic and personal start with food, housing, clothing and transport and must be regulated as private and sacred and their satisfaction should not depend on hire. To satisfy these material needs through rent, gives the original owner the right to interfere in your personal life and to control your imperative needs, even if the original owner be the society in general. The original owner can usurp your freedom and take away your happiness. The interference of the original owner may include repossessing your clothes, even leaving you naked on the street. Likewise, the owner of your means of transportation may leave you stranded on the sidewalk, and the owner of your house may make you homeless.
People’s imperative needs cannot be regulated by legal or administrative procedures. They must be fundamentally implanted into the society in accordance with natural rules.”
2. Education was free
Gaddafi’s view on education is something that seems to resonate with many. He believed that education had nothing to do with a routinized curriculum. He pointed to the fact that the western world has forced their youth to learn during specified hours while sitting in rows of desks, and that this type of education now prevails all over the world and goes against human freedom.
“State controlled education, which governments boast of whenever they are able to force it on their youths, is a method of suppressing freedom. It is a compulsory obliteration of a human being’s talent, as well as a coercive directing of a human being’s choices. It is an act of dictatorship destructive of freedom because it deprives people of their free choice, creativity and brilliance. To force a human being to learn according to a set curriculum is a dictatorial act. To impose certain subjects upon people is also a dictatorial act.
He strongly believed that state controlled/standardized education is again, a “forced stultification” of the masses. He believed that all governments who set courses of education in terms of a formal curriculum and force people to learn them are coercing and manipulating their citizens.
“All methods of education prevailing in the world should be destroyed through a universal cultural evolution that frees the human mind from curricula of fanaticism which dictate a process of deliberate distortion of man’s tastes, conceptual ability and mentality.”
He did not mean that schools should be closed, in fact he believed that education was important and that society should provide all types of education that gives the individual the chance to choose freely.
“Knowledge is a natural right of every human being of which no one has the right to deprive him or her under any pretext, except in a case where a person does something which deprives him or her of that right.”
3. Medical treatment was free
It’s beyond me as to why medical care is not free in all countries. This should be basic human right and we’ve drifted far from it. Are we not capable of creating something better as to where medical treatment could be free for everyone in all countries? Gaddafi strongly believed in this, and created it for his people.
4. There were no electricity bills in Libya, electricity was free
The western world wants to put a meter on everything. It’s just another way, out of many, to enslave us. Basic human rights are not met in the western world, and what’s even more discouraging is the fact that most of us sit back and accept it, or don’t even realize it.
5. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great ManMade River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country
gad
6. All newlyweds in Libya would receive 60,000 Dinar ($50,000 USD) by the government to buy their first apartment to help start a family.
7. A portion of Libyan oil sales is or was credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens
8. Libya had it’s own state bank
Libya had its own State bank, which provided loans to citizens at zero percent interest by law and they had no external debt.
9. A bursary was given to mothers with newborn babies
When a Libyan woman gave birth she was given the equivalent to $5000 USD for herself and the child.
10. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need in Libya, the government would fund them to go abroad for it – not only free but they get US $2,300/month accommodation and car allowance

Lyrics
(I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD) : shorturl.at/bfrX6
I’m stuck self torturing
My meds are failing me
Internal clock in smithereens
Can’t fix this, I’m hopeless
My eyes are stapled open wide
As I lay down on my side
I am bouncing off these walls
As I focus on the clock
Time stands still but I cannot
I should strap myself in bed
I guess I'll sleep when I am dead...
(I'D RATHER DROWN) : shorturl.at/cnOU9
Thanks for treating me like every boy you meet
So please, come in and take a seat
Here's the part where I learn and you will teach
On how to treat people like a piece of meat
(HORRIBLE KIDS) : shorturl.at/cinFW
Why is it me they're after?
Couldn't they pick another one?
One day I'll spit their laughter
And bite their tongue
Horrible kids, would you look what you did?
It was your ignorance that formed a beast with your wit
Ba-da-da-da-bum-
(NIGHTMARE) : shorturl.at/zU049
I hear it creeping from the corner
And all I know is that I don't feel safe
I feel the tapping on my shoulder
I turn around in an alarming state
But am I losing my mind? I really think so
Not a creature in sight
But what you don't know...
(KILL THE LIGHTS) : shorturl.at/wABT1
So we all stand enthralled by this bland curtain call
And the truth we pursue as we all, we all beg you to
Kill the lights, kill the actor, kill the actress
I'm afraid that the spotlight dried you up, whoa, whoa oh
Don't even think about it
Don't even think about it, no
We're begging you
To kill the lights, kill the actor, kill the actress
Or kill us all
(N.M.E.) : shorturl.at/huCIS
Remove the gag and step away he's suffocating!
You pull the strings day after day, that's why he needs a-
-break! From you! Bid your ass adieu!
A break! From you! Bitch, your ass is through!
Oh I hope he hears these words
Maybe next time he will learn
(PLASTIC PROMISES) : shorturl.at/jGHPY
Please, don't tell me that we're fine
I've got too much on my mind!
Isn't this too plain to see? Maybe, yeah!
'Cause we lost too much to gain
We were dancing in the rain
Tell me what am I to do?
With a double dose of
(PARTNERS IN CRIME) : shorturl.at/gjNS3
You'll never take us alive
We swore that death would do us part
They'll call our crimes a work of art
You'll never take us alive
We'll live like spoiled royalty
Lovers and partners...
Partners in crime!
(Wolf in Sheep's Clothing) : shorturl.at/swNP1
So could you
Tell me how you're sleeping easy
How you're only thinking of yourself
Show me how you justify
Telling all your lies like second nature
Listen, mark my words, one day (one day)
You will pay, you will pay
Karma's gonna come collect your debt
(Bleak December) : shorturl.at/djvC5
Watch you pretend, you know it all
Shift any blame aside
Vending the victim when it sells
How do you even sleep at night?
As I drive and drive
In that bleak December, you're just too cold
But I need the answer, before you'd fold
You would hold your cards inside your chest
I think I drove too far for that bleak December
And how full of shit you are
(The Haunting) : shorturl.at/aftLN
No one will love you like I did,
Will treat you like I did,
So go on wear that scarlet letter.
No one will love you like I did,
Will touch you like I did,
So good luck finding something better.

Souce from Wikipedia:
Prostitution in Thailand has been common in modern Thailand and its predecessor states for centuries. During the Ayutthaya Kingdom (1351–1767), prostitution was legal and taxed,[1]:2 and the state ran brothels.[2] Since 1960, prostitution in Thailand has been de jure illegal. Nevertheless, it was estimated to be worth US$6.4 billion a year in revenue (2015), accounting for a significant portion of the national GDP.[3]
Sex worker perspectives
Were it not for financial pressures, there is evidence that most sex workers would not choose the work. In Sweden and the Netherlands, where prostitution is "...legal, protected, lucrative and safe,..." it is not a popular profession. Greece provides a recent example of the correlation between prostitution and economic destitution: researchers there estimate that the number of people selling sexual services in Greece has soared by 150 percent since the Greek market collapse in 2008.[81] Many sex workers in those countries are imported from south and Southeast Asia. One Thai university student doing sex work to support herself lamented to an interviewer that "my life doesn't give me choices".[82] The president of Thailand's Foundation for Women notes that, "These women may well have the capacity to separate their sex work from their self-identity." In the words of one of the sex workers she interviewed, "Once I met my customer on a street, he tried to approach me. But I ignored him. What right does he have? Outside a brothel, I am a normal woman."[82]
Some "sex workers" claim that actual sex is a minor part of their occupation. An independent sex worker in Chiang Mai says, "...most of her job is having drinks with customers, only involving sex two or three times a month. Akin to a 'professional girlfriend', ...sex workers provide...company to middle class or foreign men. In return, clients will buy her clothing, take her to watch movies...."[82]
Reasons for the prevalence and toleration of prostitution
Social views
Thai society has its own unique set of often contradictory sexual mores. Visiting a prostitute or a paid mistress is not an uncommon, though not necessarily acceptable, behaviour for men. Many Thai women, for example, believe the existence of prostitution actively reduces the incidence of rape.[14] Among many Thai people, there is a general attitude that prostitution has always been, and will always be, a part of the social fabric of Thailand.[14]
According to a 1996 study, the sexual urge of men is perceived by both Thai men and women as being very much stronger than the sexual urge of women. Where women are thought to be able to exercise control over their desires, the sexual urge of men is seen to be "a basic physiological need or instinct". It is also thought by both Thai men and women that men need "an occasional variation in partners". As female infidelity is strongly frowned upon in Thai society, and, according to a 1993 survey, sexual relationships for single women also meets disapproval by a majority of the Thai population, premarital sex, casual sex and extramarital sex with prostitutes is accepted, expected and sometimes even encouraged for Thai men, the latter being perceived as less threatening to a marriage over lasting relationships with a so-called "minor wife".[57]
Another reason contributing to this issue is that ordinary Thais deem themselves tolerant of other people, especially those whom they perceive as downtrodden. This acceptance has allowed prostitution to flourish without much of the extreme social stigma found in other countries. According to a 1996 study, people in Thailand generally disapprove of prostitution, but the stigma for prostitutes is not lasting or severe, especially since many prostitutes support their parents through their work. Some men do not mind marrying former prostitutes.[58] A 2009 study of subjective well-being of prostitutes found that among the sex workers surveyed, sex work had become normalized.[59].....
