In our family, the two of us are the ones who love trying out new pastries, cakes, kueh and snacks so I was really glad to have some mother-and-daughter time with her as we tasted these Taiwanese snacks from PChomeSEA.
We tried the Pineapple Cake, Low-sugar nougat in Cranberry and Matcha flavours,
Milk Biscuits and Egg Yolk Pastry. These are healthier snack choices because they are starch free, gluten free and can be part of a keto diet. We like that they have a unique taste, are not overly sweet and are suitable for everyone in the family. Her favourite is the tasty Egg Yolk Pastry while I like the fruity cranberry Nougats.

Juny is a nutritionist turned business owner and a mother of 2. She used to be in the event business, a very driven & motivated lady. And then the pandemic happened, zero jobs, zero income.
Stuck at home with 2 kids and feeling lost, Juny struggled with anxiety and even depression. Then she thought about her passion & interest in healthy food back in the days of being a nutritionist, so she started baking for her family. It tasted so good, Juny started baking for her neighbours too.
Though I am not really a big fan of butter cakes, the aroma of Juny’s Premium Butter Cake hit me immediately when I opened the box – it smelled soooooo good. You can also use an 18 x 8cm / H6cm mold.
80g (0.35 cup) soy yogurt
110g (0.56 cup) brown sugar
80g (0.73 cup) pecan nuts
1 carrot (140g) 5oz
80g (0.35 cup)Vegetable oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
160g (1.28 cup) flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
-Optional-
Cardamom and nutmeg
200g (0.9 cup) cream cheese
40g (0.33 cup) powdered sugar
180°C(356F)50 minutes
Cut the surface of the cake, after 20 minutes.
Wrap the cake in plastic wrap and let it sit overnight.

ひな祭りに作りたい、食卓を彩る可愛いスイーツをご紹介します!クレープをまとったいちごは、まるでおひな様。ぎゅうひは切り餅で作るので、とってもお手軽にフォトジェニックなスイーツができます!

おひな様クレープ
5個分
材料:
■クレープ生地
卵 1個
牛乳 100ml
薄力粉 50g
砂糖 20g
サラダ油(フライパン用) 適量
■ぎゅうひ
切り餅(刻む) 2個
水 40ml
砂糖 大さじ2
片栗粉 適量
こしあん(5等分に丸める) 150g
いちご 5個
作り方:
1.ボウルに卵、砂糖を入れて混ぜ、牛乳を加えてさらに混ぜる。
2.薄力粉を振るい入れて混ぜ、ザルで濾す。
3.フライパンに薄くサラダ油を引いて中火に熱し、(2)をお玉1杯分入れて薄く広げる。ふつふつと気泡が出てきたら裏返し、1分ほど焼く。取り出して粗熱を取り、残りの生地も同様に焼く。
4.ぎゅうひを作る。ボウルに切り餅、砂糖、水を加えてふんわりとラップをかけ、600Wの電子レンジで1分30秒ほど加熱する。取り出して混ぜたら再びラップをかけ、600Wの電子レンジで1分30秒ほど加熱し、なめらかになるまで混ぜる。
5.台の上に片栗粉を振り、(4)を置いて丸くまとめ、5等分に切る。
6.手の平で丸く広げ、丸めたこしあんを包む。
7.クレープを半分に折り、中心に(6)をのせ、下、左、右の順に重なるように巻いて包む。
8.上にいちごをトッピングしたら、完成!

Servings:5
INGREDIENTS
■ Crepe fabric
1 Egg
100 milliliters Milk
50 grams Flour
20 grams Sugar
1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
Vegetable oil (for frying pan)
■ Filling
2 Rice cakes (chopped)
40 milliliters Water
2 tablespoons Sugar
Potato starch (as needed)
150 grams Sweet bean paste (dividen in 5 parts)
5 strawberries
PREPARATION
1. Place eggs and sugar in a bowl and mix. Add milk and mix.
2. Sift the flour, mix, and strain with a colander.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Spread a thin layer of the crepe mixture into the pan and flip over when small air bubbles start to come out and cook for about 1 min. Remove from the pan and cook the rest of the crepe mixture.
4. Make the filling. Add the rice cakes, sugar and water to a bowl, cover it loosely with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600W microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Take out, mix, wrap again, heat for 1 minute 30 seconds in a 600W microwave, and mix until smooth.
5. Shake the potato starch on the table and pour (4), divide in 5 equal parts and shape into balls.
6. Flatten them over your palm, place a piece of sweet bean paste in the center and wrap it.
7. Fold the crepe in half, put (6) on the center, and wrap it so that it overlaps in the order of bottom, left and right.
8. Topped with strawberries and finished!
9. Enjoy!

How about a Taiwanese-style castella with a tea time? Moist, plump, baked sponge-like cakes are perfect for coffee or tea. It is perfect for party desserts, so please make it.
Cooking time: 90 minutes

Material 1 piece (18cm)
Soft flour 80g
Salad oil 50ml
Milk (40 ℃) 50ml
Egg yolk (Ⅿsize) 5 pieces

Granulated sugar 100g
Hot water (50 ℃)
How to make
Preparation. Preheat oven to 150 ℃. Lay the cooking sheet on the mold.
1. Sift flour into a bowl.
2. Put egg whites in a bowl, beat with a hand mixer until bubbles come out, add granulated sugar, and make whiskey meringue until horns stand.
3. Put the salad oil in a pan, over medium heat, warm to 80 ℃.

Add 1/3 of the amount of 7.2, mix as if cutting with a rubber spatula, and add the remaining 2 and mix.
8. Pour into a mold, put in a vat, pour hot water to about half the height of the mold, bake in a 150 ° C oven plump and brown for about 60 minutes until the fire passes.
9. Remove the mold and remove the rough heat.
Cooking Tips
Be sure to preheat the oven before baking.
If the oven has no preheating function, set the temperature and heat for 10 minutes before baking.
