【一天分享一首歌之第32天】〈The Planets Bend Between Us〉/ Snow Patrol
今天這首是我多年的愛曲。在雪警樂團（Snow Patrol）2008年的專輯《一億個太陽》裡，這首靜靜帶著力量的歌是我每隔一段時間都要重聽，以重拾一些能量的。妙的是它聽起來是深情的情歌，其實卻是主唱Gary Lightbody在寫他的海灘小屋：每年冬天，那間小屋子獨自在北愛爾蘭的岸邊忍受著風吹雨打，而他覺得這姿態帶來，某種救贖的質地。
「我會和你賽跑到海邊，在愛爾蘭的邊緣大聲吶喊，讓遠在美洲的人都聽見，這都是為了你」——雖然翻成中文不知為何有種天真可愛的感覺，但其實雪警的歌詞是我過去注意過的幾個英國樂團中我最喜歡的，不簡單又不做作，帶著一點閃爍的詩意。「The shells crack under our shoes / Like punctuation points / The planets bend between us / A hundred million suns and stars…」
