Listening to his sharing， 讓我回想起 Alber Elbaz 在 2015 年從 Lanvin 離開的新聞。在他於 Lanvin 長達 14 年的經營之下，Alber Elbaz 的突然離去讓這個名牌陷入了一段艱困的時期，且至今尚未修復。在時尚週缺席三年後，Alber Elbaz 再度開始向外拓展事業，目前正在進行與 Converse 和 LeSportsac 的聯名合作。 (I remember in 2015, when the news of Alber Elbaz being fired from Lanvin had broke. After 14 years at the prestigious brand, his departure sparked a troublesome period for Lanvin that has yet to be revived, even now. After being absent from fashion week for the past 3 years, Alber Elbaz is back branching out, working on collaborations Converse and LeSportsac.) 他曾經說過 “I want to go back to the idea of asking questions and creating products that also has a meaning, and that also has fun and a sense of humor.”

在這次的分享中，他提到了離開 Lanvin 後的體會和學習，不僅讓人感到耳目一新，更是激勵人心。 (Here listening to him speak about what he learned after his departure from Lanvin, was motivating and refreshing.) I love his determination and how he humbles himself. He referenced himself as being “homeless”, losing everything, his team his studio. But like Jack Ma said, “The only thing that cannot be taken from a homeless person is his brain.”

“What is it about this obsession of looking good? How about doing good and how about being good?”

“Why so much fear and not enough love?”

“In fashion, we respect tradition...we have amazing old recipes. But maybe there too much butter. Maybe it’s time to cut the butter and make them healthier, and therefore more relevant.”

“Streetwalks don’t always follow catwalks.” It’s good to go back to the streets to see what the streets are all about.

He ended with while “love” might be the word with which he’s most closely associated, respect is “more important.”

Beat the heat and indulge in these frozen remakes of the classic Thai mango sticky rice dessert! Made with actual rice grains,the recipe for this creamy sweet goodness is really straightforward, doesn’t take long to make and is friendly on the figure too. What a sweet deal! (Literally)

To achieve those sweet flavours, this guilt-free dessert takes advantage of the natural sugars in white rice. Unlike conventional white rice, Kinmemai Better White Rice has more fibre, vitamins and immune system boosting nutrients. Moist, fluffy and slightly buttery, each grain of rice is carefully checked for their taste and texture before they go up on the shelves. With their advanced polishing techniques, these grains of rice are rinse-free and can be cooked straight away – meaning more time to make more popsicles!

Adding some lime zest to the heated mixture of rice and milk helps to lighten up the buttery flavours. Be sure to let the mixture cool or it will be too watery to fold in the mango cubes. Once done, quickly pop them into the freezer and await your cold treat!
