Scuba Junkie helped sponsor, train and execute a huge Reef Check survey across 35 dive sites in the Semporna region last week with the WWf and Reef Check. These sites range from Mabul, Kapalai, Ligitan, Siamil, Roach reef and the Northern Islands. We trained a group of Eco divers and also had some volunteers from UMS, Gaya island and Reef Check and we have already completed the first half of the survey over 1 week. We will finish the 2nd week survey the 2nd half in Jan 2014 and the WWF will be presenting the findings to the government. We are the only reef check certified training center in this area and will also be conducting other training session for our Eco DMTs and our local DMs on the 15th of this month....
