外國樂壇在新年前後一般較為淡靜，人人都放長假，就連新唱片的數量也會大大減小，取而代之是大量精選專輯，其中「大件夾抵食」的 box sets 在近年更是十分盛行。當然，能出大大盒 box set 的多數是殿堂級人馬，譬如 Pink Floyd。兩年前他們推出了《The Early Years》box set，剛過去的 12 月則有「延續篇」《The Later Years》box set，一盒 16 碟，包括 5 張 CD、6 張 Blu-ray 及 5 張 DVD，收錄樂隊 1987 年以後的作品（Roger Waters 離隊後），更包括大量未曝光錄音及演出片段，份量十足。其中《A Momentary Lapse of Reason》更重錄鼓擊部分及重新混音，由 David Gilmour 親自監製，質素絕對有保證。

Kinds of Greatest Hits are popular choices in this low season in the music industry, especially the economical box sets. British rock band Pink Floyd launched the “The Early Years 1965-1972” two years ago and released its sequel - “The Later Years” in last month. “The Later Years” box set included 5 CDs, 6 Blu-ray and 5 DVDs that compiled their works since 1987 after the departure of Roger Waters. Don’t forget to check out the remixed version of “A Momentary Lapse of Reason” by David Gilmour himself!
