Be like a cactus!
I saw an inward picture of a cactus, standing strong in a desert.
Did you know that a cactus is able to have normal leaves, but they adapt with spines (modified leaves) in the desert to minimize water loss?
It also performs transpiration at night to reduce water loss.
Cacti are classified as “succulents” because they have thickened, fleshy parts to store more water.
Cacti have an extensive root system that don’t go very deep into the ground because most of the groundwater is on the upper layers due to rain. There are hardly any underground stores of water in the desert.
In a hot desert, most plants cannot survive the harsh, dry climate, but a cactus is able to survive and thrive.
It is adaptable, absorbent, attractive (can produce flowers), and able-bodied (the spines fend off predators). Truly an amazing plant that can live where most creatures cannot.
If we look at the cactus as ourselves, water as the water of God’s word, and the hot desert as this world, then we will understand this faith picture that God has for us.
God wants us to store up water and retain it efficiently just like a cactus. A cactus is designed to maximize water gain and minimize water loss.
In this world that prides itself on its own knowledge, rejecting the kingship of God, we must be like a cactus that finds every opportunity to receive God’s word.
You can retain it better when you meditate on His word. Keep it in your heart, and think about it often. This way, you will take in more, and lose less of it.
“They came with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby was lying in the feeding trough. When they saw it, they publicized widely the saying which was spoken to them about this child. All who heard it wondered at the things which were spoken to them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart.” (Luke 2:16-19 WEB)
Mary did exactly this. When others heard the good news about Jesus, they only wondered at it, but Mary kept these sayings, pondering them in her heart. She was like a cactus and retained the water.
“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.” (Psalms 91:7 WEB)
“For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:8 WEB)
In a desert whereby living creatures who cannot adapt just die of thirst and starvation, you will not. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. You shall not even fear the heat when it comes because you are full of God’s word, unceasingly fruitful in every season!

Posting a current picture after 9 months,
The look is inspired months of rarely looking into the mirror.
Somehow I found peace while cleaning up my plant here today and felt like taking a picture.
This is a huge step towards a better mental health in almost a year plus plus plus now haha, but I’ve never felt this good before.
For those who are having a rough day today, do something that brings you peace.
Take baby steps in being better, the goal is to be better not faster so take your time and give your self credits along the way.

KEPADA PAPA MAMA YANG SIMPAN TALI PUSAT ANAK NI.. BOLEH DAH TANAM....
Makruh hukumnya menyimpan tali pusat anak.
Tali pusat anak yang kita simpan lama2 tu sebenarnya dah jadi bangkai =(
#kisahbenar
Menurut Ustaz Azhar Idrus....
KEBANYAKAN DARIPADA ULAMAK MENGATAKAN TIDAK DIBOLEHKAN MENYIMPAN TALI PUSAT BAYI. WALAUPUN ADA SESETENGAH DARIPADA ULAMAK MENGATAKAN BOLEH DAN MAKRUH HUKUMNYA DISIMPAN TALI PUSAT TANPA DITANAM. SEBALIKNYA SUNAT DITANAM. INI KERANA MENURUT ULAMA, TALI PUSAT ADALAH SEBAHAGIAN DARIPADA ANGGOTA BADAN MANUSIA YANG PATUT DIHORMATI.

To papa mama who keeps this child's center rope.. can plant it....
Tayangnya is the law to keep the child's center rope.
The Child's center rope that we kept in a long time has actually become a corpse =(
#kisahbenar
I just knew that the one who kept the child's center rope can't.. because my mom after my child took off the center rope, she immediately put it in a small bag with nail serpit, small scissors and the center rope just now. After that he hung on the side of the buai or under my baby pillow just now. It aims to sleep my child is not disturbed by a fine creatures and some are protect him. I didn't know just now, just follow. Say Mom won't protest, right? Because he is more experienced than me ' Mama Lia.
Superstition.
Usually the long central rope will be cut and abandoned a little balance named umbilical stump throughout 2-3 cm. Usually the balance of the central rope that will fall in this week will be kept according to the indigenous beliefs of the malays.
The Center rope is just like the type, the circumcision is planted after falling from the baby just now. Just the way he is not the same as cleaning handling and planting uri. It can be planted just like that. The Center rope is also a part of the dirt that is in the content we need to throw away not saved.
There's a mother's mother keeping the center rope in a single bag and collected with all the rest of the other brothers's center rope is meant to avoid fighting or if the sick child who is hard to heal can be soaked in the center rope and give a drink.
According to the Islamic law of keeping the central rope is a must if the purpose of keeping it has nothing to do with the opposite practices.
According to Ustaz Azhar Idrus....
Most of the ulamak says it is not allowed to keep the baby's center rope. Although some of the ulamak says it can and tayangnya the law is kept a central rope without being planted. Rather the circumcision is planted. This is because according to ulama, the central rope is part of the human body that should be respected.
