It's been one hella ride in Vietnam!
Wrapped up the trip after having spent a few chilly days at Sapa and watched the fog gradually clear as we descended down the mountains to Lao Cai railway station where we took the train with our bikes back to Hanoi, and flew back home!
From the bustling city in Ho Chi Minh, to the vast ocean in Da Nang, up into the mountains in Sapa filled with endless rolling hills of rice terraces, what a sight it was watching the landscapes around us change while we rode through different weather, climate and terrains.
So thankful to have done this with Mel who braved through this entire journey with me despite it being her first touring ride!
The struggling times and mental exhaustion we went through together, before being rewarded with breathtaking sceneries, talking about everything under the sun and screaming at close shaves, giving each other's a heads up while riding and exchanging conversations, not a moment was missed communicated thanks to our Cardo scala rider #packtalkbold that had an amazing connectivity and battery life throughout.
The #ktm390duke was fantastic too as it was light enough for us to handle in all road conditions with just enough torque to get us out of tricky traffic situations.
What made this trip more memorable was the kind locals we met and new friends we made, as I've said it before; it's the people that makes the country!

Back on the roads and heading straight for our final destination - SAPA.
Pushed off at 5:30AM from Hanoi and we've got about 360KM to cover today.
Terrain consists of roads, broken roads, off road, mud, multiple pot holes etc. Apart from the uncertain weather, we'll be encountering other traffic like the locals on bikes/bicycles, animal crossings, trucks that will cross our path hence we're looking to take about 10 hours to reach Sapa with an average speed of 40km/h.
Mountainous roads all the way, we'll be passing through different villages of various ethnic groups which is going to be interesting to see.. and for the safety of not just ourselves but the locals too, we really can't go fast.
Slowly and steady, Sapa here we come!
