美國海報設計師保羅．克里佛（Paul Crifo），享耆壽98歲。他所設計的海報代表作包括《惡夜追緝令 In the Heat of the Night》（1967）、《聖杯傳奇 Monty Python and the Holy Grail》（1975）、《馬拉松人 Marathon Man》（1976）等作。

保羅．克里佛出生紐約，在普瑞特藝術學院學習插畫。起先以自由接案的設計師出道，在四〇年代進入20世紀福斯任職。後來他也加入了曼哈頓最早成立的電影廣告公司Monroe Greenthal，任職副總裁兼藝術總監。其客戶包括米高梅、福斯、派拉蒙以及許多外國電影公司。

從1942年至1986年，他參與設計了四百多個電影廣告企劃，並設計了120張海報。參與作品包括《第三集中營 The Great Escape》（1963）、《製作人 The Producers》（1967）和《大亨小傳 The Great Gatsby》等作，最令後世記憶猶新的，莫過於《馬拉松人》，主角達斯汀．霍夫曼（Dustin Hoffman）持槍的畫面與片名字體疊加而成，畫面相當富有衝擊性。

有別於同期的知名海報設計師如索爾．巴斯（Saul Bass）等人，克里佛幾乎被忽視。直到21世紀之後，其子彼得．克里佛（Peter Crifo）開始將父親的作品集結歸檔，才使他獲得了公眾矚目。2007年，《好萊塢報導者》授予之關鍵藝術獎榮耀，隔年他的作品也在奧斯卡獎頒獎典禮重現。2016年，一部關於他生平的紀錄片《Mr. Movie Poster》問世。

2020年9月22日，保羅．克里佛於紐約因自然原因辭世。

衛兵：找到的？在麥希亞找的？椰子明明是熱帶的水果
亞瑟：什麼意思？
衛兵：這裏是溫帶。
亞瑟：燕子會隨著太陽往南飛，毛腳雁也會在冬天尋找溫暖的氣候，這種事我們早就習以為常了不是嗎？
衛兵：你的意思是椰子也能遷徙？
亞瑟：不是啦，可能是被帶過來的。
衛兵：啥？燕子帶著椰子飛過來？
亞瑟：牠們可以抓住果殼啊。
衛兵：不是抓住哪裡的問題，這是簡單的重量比例問題啊！140克的鳥不可能抓得住450克重的椰子啊？

I was deeply touched by the death of Terry Jones and I was reminded of Monty Python's great work. Back during my time at school the whole class was able to remember every line of their movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and "Monty Python's Life of Brian".
I made an easy arrangement for the outstanding song "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". I hope everybody can play this and sing along.
