Baby is 7 weeks old!
Flashing back the past 7 weeks, having a baby really changed our life. Her arrival painted a new meaning to our married life. Our little family is now completed with this cute little creature. We are much composed now as a newbie parents comparing to the very beginning. Baby Leow was so small and tiny in our arm when she was born. We were afraid of holding her as if we might hurt her but now she has grown stronger and heavier. During the 2nd and 3rd week, baby Leow had this fussy hours everyday. We were panicked by her nonstop crying and searching for my boobs. Mislead by the confinement lady that our baby is having colic because I drank so much water (The Chinese confinement practice is not supposed to drink a single drop of plain water, honestly I don't believe is water problem, the soup and ginger tea are all cooked with water isn't it, total nonsense!). We kept Google what is wrong with our baby, worrying if our baby is having acid reflux or colic or my milk supply was not enough for her and etc. We were in guilt that we may have done something wrong on our baby.
Fortunately, we consulted pediatrician during her jaundice treatment visit. Doctor told us there is no colic, as my baby is breastfed, breastmilk is digested quickly. When our baby is asking for milk, just latch will do. We followed Dr's advice and it works. She will has this fussy hour for cluster feeding, usually last like 2 hours. Just keep giving her my boobs then she will be alright and fall asleep. There is no need for ointment massage to remove the 'wind' from her stomach actually. Glad that we have figured this out.
After we moved back to our house, baby did take a while to adjust and familiarize to our home, to the sound of barking by our dog, and the noise we made at home. I think we managed to work things out really well as a family, she understands our schedule while we able get holds of her sleeping times and habits.
I think by attending to baby's calling before she burst into loud cry does help to reduce baby fussiness. As her needs are constantly been fulfilled helps to bring the sense of security to her. A contended baby means happy parents.
On her 7th week, she started to create some cute sound, responded to us with smile, enjoying us look into her eyes and talk with her. She also able to lay there alone, giving us more freedom to get things done.
Though she not able to understand our language yet, just keep talk with her, she somehow will understand. Trust me.

Before going to think that Taiwanese people eat milk tea every day. Why don't you get fat
Food is cheap and delicious. I wonder if I have to fly to prove it for over 50 menu. I can conclude 12 items...
1. milk tea. It's not sweet. All milk is sweet from Brown sugar only. But if you take many glasses, it's alien.
2. Everything that they eat is super organic. No additives. It's smooth in the middle of Japanese style. Not sweet. There are some salty, but it doesn't taste. It's a bit oiliness. It's important. All dishes are delicious.
One, two. Vegetable!!! The country is not allergic to our home. So we come in oil and salt. Eat with boiled rice. Delicious to the future.
4. Water is more expensive than milk tea. About 30 baht. Cheaper than that. Please come in front of Watson shop. We have both buy 1 get 1 free and water. 10 baht per bottle.
5. Quick breakfast. Very delicious. Is sticky rice? Shredded pork, pako and pickles, rap together. Sell on the side of Taipei.
6. Raw fish disciples recommend Sashimi to eat pretty. Top seafood. Delicious. Not expensive. Next to fish market for about 50 meters. The owner of the shop is very cute.
The 7. milk tea that I eat is the most delicious for us. It's right at Si Ming. I can't remember the name. There are small wheelchair. There are only Chinese. I have
8. Everywhere is food. There are plenty of food as our home. Don't expect to rely on it, but it's just in the old town market. It's very good. I recommend.
Haha. There are many things that I haven't tried because there is a place in Thailand or hotpots. It's not because I don't want to repeat other people's reviews. But there are many people in queue. I surrender. Haha.
10. Taiwanese people don't look fat. I wonder if they like to drink milk 🤣🤣 All kinds of milk. Not only milk tea. Most of them don't wear pearl like my home.
11. hand languages are universal language that will take you to find delicious food in the real hidden gem. I see a lot of Chinese restaurant. I assume that it must be cool. What do you want to eat? I want to eat. I got a lot of cheap price. Delicious. I have access to Taiwan.
12. or advance a bit. Turn on Google translate that translated from camera. It takes a bit longer but the results are super working.
I can tell you when I arrive here. Bubble tea is not everything. Ask me if I know why Taiwanese people are not fat. Huhu!! I don't know the same. But I'm fat now. Haha. What are you waiting for? Let's go to be a strong pig. Be friends. 💖💖💖

?? We're at the Vietnam-Chinese border, on the Vietnamese side, that is! This is the city of Mong Cai. It all started off great, with a nice meal of noodles at a Chinese restaurant chain. After that Max and I went to search for ice cream, which was someone of a failure. Due to that we decided to switch gears and get milk tea. Little did we know we would meet a stupid customer calling us "covid". But it's okay, it sure did feel good to turn around and tell her to her face that I knew exactly what she was saying. She sure was surprised, embarrassed, and at a loss for words. Hopefully it teaches her not to assume things about people next time :)

The first 1000 people to click the link will get a free trial of Skillshare’s Premium Membership: https://skl.sh/xiaomanyc11201 So this week I tipped $5,000 at some of my absolute favorite Chinese takeout spots in New York City. The whole restaurant industry in New York City has been devastated by COVID and Chinese restaurants have been particularly hard-hit. So I wanted to give them a nice tip to show them how much we love and support them here at Xiaomanyc! Especially because it's Chinese New Year and it's a perfect time to give these restaurants some nice red envelopes. If you would like to get out there and support these NYC restaurants yourself, here are links to their pages on Yelp. Most are located in NYC’s Manhattan Chinatown. They are all awesome and highly recommended!
