聯合公園的一首很勵志的歌,唱出不斷努力卻徒勞無功的心聲,其中"Remember all the sadness and frustration, and let it go."要把傷痛跟挫折記起來,然後放在記憶深處不再翻閱,跟我們一般說要忘記傷痛挫折大相逕庭;的確,有波折有苦痛的人生才夠味,才能對比出順遂時的甜美,何須忘記呢?

今天一醒來就看到一則令人非常震驚的消息，Linkin Park的主唱Chester Bennington上吊自殺了，才短短41年的生命。
我並不常聽熱門音樂，但我是動作片愛好者。變形金剛(Transformer)這個系列雖然後來整個拍爛了，但沒有人能否認它的第一集是個經典，而讓第一集畫龍點睛的，就是它令人熱血沸騰的主題曲"What I've done"。
這首由Linkin Park為變形金剛所寫、Chester Bennington 主唱的"What I've done"，當時簡直紅遍大街小說，沒有人聽到這個音樂不會想起變形金剛的！主題曲興電影一起成為經典。
也因為第一集如此成功，拍第二和第三集時，電影公司持續找Linkin Park合作，完成了第二集的主題曲New Divide，和第三集的Iridescent ，又是一個驚人的成功。
如今這些經典，已在Chester死後成為絕響。
Linkin Park以後或許還會寫出更多好歌，甚至有更好的主唱，但Chester Bennington的世紀，隨著他的死正式宣告結束了。
