[Announcement]
Some people are confused about the situation, so we decided to inform everybody about the truth on our page.
The reason why we did not attend Summer Subcultures (SS) is purely due to safety reasons.
If you didn't know, even Geek Summit (WCS Malaysia Finals) had their guests detained and questioned. Safety was not a guarantee, even if the guests had the proper documents and work pass or not. Because of this incident, we have decided to decline our invitation to SS.
The above incident happened around mid July this year. After the incident, the committee of SS did their best to accommodate and do the necessary arrangements. In the end, they were too busy that they weren't able to change the event poster (that stated we were going to SS).
The SS committee even offered us to just arrive in Malaysia and have fun, without attending the event (because of the flight ticket). They were very kind to offer this!
But we declined as we felt it was improper for us to go there without attending the event. In the end, we decided not to go to Malaysia this time, as safety is our number one priority over anything else.
We hope everybody won't make and spread false rumours, and please continue to support the Summer Subculture event ><

無法出席Summer Subcultures(SS)純粹是安全關係
因為前陣子連WCS都有嘉賓被拘留盤查(有無工作證都有安全風險)所以才忍痛婉拒的
時間大概是7月中WCS Malaysia事情發生後
這期間主辦一直很積極地處理，因為處理到最後一刻所以海報那些來不及更改(印刷的東西需要提前準備)
主辦還說沒關係，不用去活動可以純粹帶我我們去度假&小島旅行，太佛心😭但我們不好意思這樣白白讓別人帶去玩所以最後還是決定不去了😢
畢竟活動還是要安全、快樂優先！
