Sabah rice wine is made from fermented rice and is a favorite drink among the locals. It is usually served during merrymaking such as weddings, birthdays or the harvest festival.

📍Mari Mari Cultural Village
THE ART OF MAKING RICE WINE
In this village, the cultural diversity is a matter of pride. This village is one of the most stunning living museums I’ve ever been to.
Not only does this village portray these tribes through the architectural genius of their traditional houses, but also through a range of simulated lives of the olden epoch by the residents of the village.
One of the many activities we did here that I enjoyed fully is the rice wine-making demo. The huge pottery jars are what they use to cook and fement wine. The lucky traveller in me got to taste the wine and it has that “wine kick” too. It does taste like your everyday mall-bought wines, only fresher.
The natives use traditional methods for prepping wine and cooking food. They also did a demo on how to cook food in bamboo shoots, which I was happily invited to participate in too!

🌹 April 19, 2020 Our 1 year engagement anniversary of being fiancés 🥰 Today we were finally doing the pottery class Christmas gift together! It was so fun!🍶 Even though my bowls were supposed to be the same size lol But eventually we made a good pair!👍
.
Yesterday we also received the artificial grass for our terrace 🌄 Taobao is the gem! Our terrace now looks amazing with our potted plants🥰 Can't wait to have BBQs with our friends in our secret garden when the situation is better! And our sunflowers are suddenly growing like crazy!🤩🌻 Need to find them bigger pots soon!
.
.
Can't believe it has been a year since you proposed to me in that amazing evening. I can still remember how our hearts were racing when that moment came.
We do take our time and I do enjoy every moment of it✨
Thank you for being there, and thank you for being here.
More to come!

Nice and warm November weather. My dad (grandpa) decided to throw a birthday party for my kids: my daughter (11/29 6years) and my son (11/20 4 years). Every year we book a restaurant but for COVID-19 we didn't. I hope you learn something new about Japan from this video 😉
Shigaraki-Yaki Water Stove 信楽焼「水コンロ」
It is similar to Shichirin but you put water to avoid ash flying over your food.
You can use it on your table since it won't get too hot.
My dad is picky about the lava Yakiniku plate. hehe
BBQ was fun, so I looked for the water stove. It's in my shopping list 💕

Coleman Dutch Oven Roast Chicken turned out very juicy yet tasty. Not at all flaky!!! Putting half-cooked rice in the chicken will end up cooking the perfect rice. My dad put too much charcoal and burnt the chicken. Please be careful 😅

I made sandwiches using the leftover chicken we brought back. It was AMAZING!!! This reccipe will help FYI 👍
