How to Get From Here to There
““Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say? Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like. He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock. But he who hears, and doesn’t do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”” (Luke 6:46-49 WEB)
How do you get from living based on your flesh’s desires to living according to the Gospel?
The moment you “try” to do it, you have failed already, because you have effectively placed yourself under the Law.
We cannot apply God’s word by our own strength or willpower.
The only way is to not even be conscious of being obedient to God. When you read or hear God’s word, focus on seeing God’s love and Jesus’ love for you demonstrated at the cross.
As you behold His finished work and Jesus’ beauty, God’s word will bear fruit in your heart and you’ll be transformed from one level of glory to the next.
It’s all about receiving the water of God’s word until those seeds (also God’s word) bear fruit because of faith.
When you reach this level of unconsciously applying God’s word in your life, relying on His Grace to live according to His will, you’ll accumulate great heavenly rewards to enjoy in eternity.
In this lifetime, that faith that comes from receiving many revelations of God’s love and Grace will make you unshakable against life’s storms.
When the devil attacks, you’ll just walk through that ordeal holding God’s hand and look forward to the restoration blessings that awaits when you exit the valley of the shadow of death!
The world will wonder, “How can this person still smile at this time?” Faith is your secret!
