"Jesus finds joy and nourishment in loving you!"
God wants you to live life enjoying His shalom peace, wholeness, and completeness in every area. If you are facing a challenge today or if you find yourself in a situation that seems contrary to the promises of God, the answer to experiencing the peace of God that surpasses understanding and brings comfort, strength, anointing, wisdom, and power for your breakthrough is simple: feed on His immense love for you.
No matter what you are going through, it is your portion and inheritance to enjoy the Lord’s love for you daily. When you receive His love, you will find nourishment for your soul and see His power flow into areas of need.
This week, begin each day by spending your first few moments remembering that the Lord loves you. Say to Him, “Lord, I receive Your love for me. I thank You that Your perfect love casts out all fear, heals my body, and prospers all my relationships. I receive Your love today.”
Throughout the day, every time you feel your heart being troubled or fear starting to creep in, put your hand on your heart and say, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Remember that because the Lord loves you, His power is for you and working on your behalf!

“Now, behold, we are in your hand. Do to us as it seems good and right to you to do.” He did so to them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, so that they didn’t kill them. That day Joshua made them wood cutters and drawers of water for the congregation and for Yahweh’s altar to this day, in the place which he should choose.” (Joshua 9:25-27 WEB)
The cunning Gibeonites fooled the children of Israel to make a covenant with them to secure their immunity.
Although they were people of Canaan who were supposed to be destroyed according to Yahweh’s instructions, the covenant caused them to be spared.
From then on, the Gibeonites lived among the children of Israel as slaves who did menial labor.
The Gibeonites are a picture of our sinful flesh that remains after our salvation.
Our spirit is perfectly righteous, holy and pure, but sin remains in our body of flesh, still driving us to fulfill its lustful cravings.
This mortal body will be transformed into a perfect, glorified body at the Rapture, but until then, we still have to live in it.
Be clear about this truth: you are not your body—you are the spirit living inside your body.
Just as the Gibeonites are not children of Israel, your body is not who you are. Your body is just your temporary house on earth—like the apostle Peter calls it, an “earthly tent”.
It’s when you think that your body is part of you that the sinful habits creep in. You obey it because you don’t know that it’s not you.
You do whatever makes you feel good, even if it’s sinful because you don’t know that it’s the flesh who wants to feel that way.
Just as the Gibeonites were made slaves to the children of Israel, your body is your spirit’s servant as well.
You, child of God—have the authority to bring your flesh to submission, to fulfill the desires of the spirit and not the lusts of the flesh.
One more thing—the Gibeonites were appointed as wood cutters and drawers of water.
This is the godly role appointed for your body: to break any reliance on the flesh (wood can be a picture of man) and to bring the water of God’s word to refresh your spirit.
You are a royal priest, a child of God—not a sinner. Don’t let your servant (the flesh) become your master!

There is a common phenomenon in the world of personal #finance called “#lifestyle creep.” It describes our tendency to buy bigger, better, and nicer things as our income rises. What if similar side effects could happen in other areas of #life?
“#Habit creep” = slightly adjusting your habits until behaviors and results that were once out of reach become your new normal. Your #goal is to nudge your behaviors along in very small ways:
1) Increasing your performance.
Let’s say that your standard day requires you walk 8,000 steps. If you want to get in better shape, the standard approach would be to start #training for a race or exercise more. But the habit creep approach would be to add a very small amount to your standard behavior. Say, 8,100 steps per day rather than 8,000 steps. You can apply this logic to nearly any area of life. You have a normal amount of sales calls you make at work each day, a normal amount of Thank You notes you write each year, a normal amount of books you read each month. If you want to become more successful, more grateful, or more intelligent, then you can use the idea of habit creep to slowly improve those areas simply by improving the way you live your normal day.
2) Changing your environment.
There are all sorts of things we do each day that are a response to the environment we live in. We eat cookies because they are on the counter. We pick up our phones because someone sends us a text. We turn on TV because it’s the first thing we look at when we sit on the couch. If you change your environment in small ways (hide the cookies in the pantry, leave the phone in another room while you work, place the TV inside a cabinet), then your actions change as well. Imagine if you made one #positive environment #change each week. Where would your life creep to by the end of the year?

Dear friends, during this time of the global pandemic, it is vital for us to memorize and meditate on Psalm 91, which is the psalm of protection.
Psalm 91 is a psalm about those of us who dwell in the secret place of the Most High, which is in Christ! As believers, when fear or anxious thoughts creep in, it is the Word of God through this Psalm that will rescue you from those worries and reassure you of the Lord’s divine protection over your life and the lives of your loved ones.
Whatever trappings the devil might have for you, the Lord will surely deliver you from them. Even for the pestilences that you don’t even know exist around you (i.e. asymptomatic cases of COVID-19), God has promised in His Word that He will protect you, and you need not fear.
Let us start memorizing Psalm 91. You can even take time as a family and make it a fun activity to memorize this psalm together. We believe that you will see God’s divine protection in action as you and your loved ones meditate on His Word!

For one night, Linas Kleiza overshadowed Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony.
Kleiza scored a career-high 41 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Denver Nuggets beat the Utah Jazz 120-109 on Thursday night.
"I've now scored 40 points on the highest stage you can ever score," said Kleiza, whose previous career-high of 29 came March 15 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
"It was definitely a special night," Kleiza said. "I will remember this night for the rest of my life."
The Nuggets have been searching for a consistent third scorer behind Anthony and Iverson, and Kleiza filled the role Thursday. He got going early, leaking out on the fast break and getting easy layups. He then moved to the outside, going 4-for-8 from 3-point range.
"He got a couple of easy ones, and once you get a couple of layups, the basket looks bigger," said Iverson, who had 28 points. "He played a great game, and hopefully he can continue to play that way."
Kleiza scored 27 points in the first half, 20 in the second quarter when Denver took a 61-59 lead at the break.
"I knew after the first half when I had 27 it was going to be a special night," Kleiza said.
Kleiza had 39 points when he stepped to the line with 3:44 left. The home crowd gave him a big ovation as he sank both free throws for Denver's final points of the game.
Kleiza wasn't the only one racking up special numbers against the Jazz. Marcus Camby tied his career high in rebounds (24) and blocks (11) to help the Nuggets end a two-game losing streak.
"Camby had a terrific game," Utah head coach Jerry Sloan said. "He ran at the basketball and blocked shots and really had us guessing what was happening out on the floor."
Despite big nights from Kleiza and Camby, the Jazz trailed by just two after a pair of free throws by Mehmet Okur midway through the third quarter. But the Nuggets kept pushing the ball, and Anthony scored eight of his 23 points in the final three minutes of the period as Denver grabbed a 98-88 lead heading into the fourth.
The Nuggets kept up the pace, going on a 10-3 run in the first 3:09 of the final quarter to take a 108-91 lead. The Jazz never got closer than 11 the rest of the way, and Denver led by as many as 21.
It was a different Denver team than the one that lost two straight earlier this week.
"I didn't think our guys were hungry enough on the two games on the road, and they were subservient to A.I. and Melo," Nuggets head coach George Karl said. "Tonight, there was more of play basketball and go."
No one epitomized that more than Kleiza. Before the game, Anthony Carter encouraged him to run the floor, and the point guard rewarded him by feeding him the ball.
"He got most of it leaking out," said guard Deron Williams, who led the Jazz with 23 points. "They got the rebound and he was running. When the shot was missed he was gone."
Gone, too, is Utah's four-game winning streak that helped them creep back into the Northwest Division race. With the Western Conference extremely competitive this year, the Nuggets and Jazz know that winning their division might be the only way to secure a playoff spot, which made Thursday's game a little more important.
"These are the games you have to win," Williams said. "You have to win in your division."
Game notes
Karl is hoping to see Nuggets F Nene on Friday. Nene had a tumor removed from his right testicle Monday and tests are being conducted to determine if it is benign. ... Jazz G Ronnie Price was activated after missing four games with a sprained left ankle. ... Nuggets F Kenyon Martin missed his second straight game. After Monday's loss in Charlotte, Martin had a minor medical procedure to treat a staph infection. Karl said Martin might play Saturday against Minnesota. ... Camby has eight 20-rebound games this season.
