Music video shooting of our new song is done!
We collaborated with some artists in City University to explore more new elements in the music video.
One of these is that we tried to use a lot of bubble wrap to create a water-like atmosphere.

【#新作論壇 #舞蹈 #音樂】「這次的《新作論壇》跟以往的工作坊不同，想找一個新的方向去衝擊音樂界和舞蹈界，希望可以栽培本港的編舞和音樂家可以有合作的關係，怎樣可以兩個同時是表演者也是創作者。」西九表演藝術主管（舞蹈）陳頌瑛（Anna）
舞蹈、音樂、身體、聲音，彼此關係密切，在創作上，大家可以如何有機地、互動地發展，擺脫「誰主導誰」的局限？《新作論壇：舞・樂互碰》邀請了4位本地作曲家，加上4位香港芭蕾舞團的舞蹈家，以「1作曲家 + 1編舞家」的模式，開闊彼此視野，探索全新可能。
過去一個星期，4小組、8個人，林丰 x岳泰莉、趙朗天x胡頌威、Mike Orange x 江上悠、崔展鴻 x菅原愉依，毋須面對「交貨」死線，純粹帶著開放心境，真誠了解對方創作語言及想法，從頭開始體會曲是如何作、舞是如何編，甚至由編舞家去奏、作曲家去動。
今次《新作論壇》邀請了旅居紐約的香港作曲家伍家駿，聯同西九藝術策劃（音樂）龔志成一同主持。
「我們這次組合了4個編舞和4個音樂人，兩者的關係其實是很微妙的，希望我們今次這個平台將音樂人和舞蹈家放在平等的地位，香港沒有很多舞蹈加現場音樂（的製作），我覺得這次其實也有這個目標在內。」西九藝術策劃（音樂）龔志成

“The direction of this New Works Forum was different from previous workshops. We wanted to find a new way of making an impact on the music and dance industries, to nurture local choreographers and composers to work closely together and to explore how they can be both performer and creator,” said Anna CY Chan, Head of Dance, Performing Arts of West Kowloon.
The relationship between dance, music, body and sound is intimate. In this New Works Forum, four local composers and four dance artists from Hong Kong Ballet were paired and encouraged to explore the possibility of merging music and dance in a perfectly balanced creative process.
Over the past week, the workshops were facilitated by New York-based composer Ian Ng and Kung Chi Shing, Artistic Associate (Music) of West Kowloon. The four pairs (Lam Fung and Natalie Ogonek, Alain Chiu and Ricky Song-wei Hu, Mike Orange and Yuh Egami, and Tsui Chin Hung and Yui Sugawara) experimented with each other’s creative language and ideas - choreographers learning how to compose, composers learning how to move.
“This time, we paired four choreographers and four composers. The relationship was intricate and complex, but the aim was to create a platform where composers and choreographers were equal. In Hong Kong, there are not many dance productions with live music. I think this was one of our goals with this workshop,” said Kung Chi Shing, Artistic Associate (Music) of the West Kowloon.
