Dear friends,
When I fly home across the pacific ocean from LA-Malaysia sometimes Im able to just look outside the window, at the ocean, and then see visible patches of white things floating on it- I hoped that they were just waves but after 2 hours of flying, these patches on the ocean were still visible, and they get bigger. I read about the Great Plastic Patch I never thought I was able to see it with my own eyes. Yes, these patches were plastic.. and It was scary seeing it for myself. Its time to change our habit.. our trash will end up in the ocean, we need to protect our marine life and it starts from our beautiful Coral Triangle region.
