全新一代 Audi RS6 Avant 有著兇狠的外表，營造寬體效果，每側輪拱都向外擴張40mm、專屬設計的空力套件，前保桿線條更銳利、並擁有面積更大的進氣孔，輔以黑色網格加強運動氣息。而車尾保桿造型也更加立體浮誇，同樣搭配黑色網格、雙橢圓排氣尾管營造更兇悍的視覺效果。

車內依舊延續Audi Virtual Cockpit全數位虛擬駕駛艙設計，包括 MMI 觸控多媒體介面、數位儀錶板等等，系統內建 RS 車型專屬資訊，包括 G 值、動力輸出值、扭力輸出值、油溫狀態、增壓值、單圈表現等，而 RS6 Avant 也有六種駕駛模式，包括 Comfort、Auto、Dynamic、Efficiency 以及可以依駕駛個別設定的 RS1、RS2，電腦會根據每種模式調整油門靈敏度、轉向精準度與懸吊阻尼。

除此之外，原廠也為RS 6 Avant準備了運動型平把方向盤，方向盤上除了設置大型鋁質換檔撥片，右側還有可快速切換RS1、RS2駕駛模式的快捷鍵，而黑色Perlnappa皮革與Alcantara材質包覆的座椅則是於頭枕下方加入RS壓紋字樣，椅背及椅面也有獨特的鑽石縫製紋路，但如果選用Valcona打孔皮革將會改為蜂巢狀紋路；座椅後方的行李廂空間，RS 6 Avant跟A6 Avant一樣，在標準5人座狀態下為565公升，必要時可將4/2/4分離比例的後座椅完全打平，進一步擴展到1,680公升。

動力系統採用 4.0 TFSI V8 雙渦輪引擎搭配 48V 輕油電系統，最大馬力從過去的560匹上漲至600匹，並可於2,100轉到4,500轉之間完全釋放81.6公斤米最大扭力，搭配8速Tiptronic手自排變速箱、quattro全時四輪傳動系統，只需3.6秒即可從靜止加速到時速100km/h，而且短短12秒內時速就能突破200km/h，如果選用Dynamic Package動態套件，原本被限制在250km/h的極速也能提高到280km/h，甚至是305km/h (Dynamic Package plus動態套件)，加上套件內含有quattro Sport差速器，可在過彎時調整後輪扭力分配，進而改善循跡性、穩定性與動態表現，提升操控靈活度，而 48V 輕油電系統在低速的時候 (約 22km/h 以下) 則會根據駕駛的駕車習慣來主動進行引擎或馬達之間的切換，最高可以回收 12kW 的功率，每 100 公里可以節省約 0.8 升的燃料。

不僅如此，RS 6 Avant還首度將主動式氣壓懸吊系統列為標準配備，車身高度比標準版 A6 Avant 低了 20mm，而氣壓懸吊在時速超過 120km/h 以上則會再降低 10mm，而且具備Lift Mode抬升功能，低速行駛時可增加20mm的離地高，方便跨越帶有坡度或高低落差較大的路面。另外，Audi 也提供 RS Sports Suspension Plus 高階的運動化懸吊系統選配，具備 DRC 系統、三段阻尼可調等功能，幫助在激烈操駕時的動態表現。
