【キンコン西野、HYDE愛を語る】

今日は大切なお知らせが二つございます。

まず一つ目ですが、映画『えんとつ町のプペル』のオンラインムビチケの発売が開始しました。

個人的にメチャクチャお気に入りの一枚で、今日は、この絵のことを少しだけ説明させていただきます。

主人公のプペルとルビッチが煙突の上に座って、上を向いているのですが、「上を向く」というのが今作のテーマでもあるんですね。

劇中、高いところが苦手な煙突掃除屋の少年のルビッチ君が、ハシゴを登る時に下を見ちゃうシーンがあります。
下を見ると、体重が後ろにかかるもんですから、立てかけてあるハシゴが揺れるんですね。

それに対して、下で見守っていたルビッチ君のお父さんの「ブルーノ」さんが、「下を見るから揺れるんだ。上を見ろ」とアドバイスするわけですが、これはハシゴに引っ掛けた世の理で、僕らは上を向いている時は体力的に少々大変でも頑張れる。

それこそコロナなんて「来月終わります」と言ってもらえたら、その希望をオカズに１ヶ月ぐらいの貧乏は我慢できる。

だけど、コロナの場合は「いつ終わるか分からない」という、「希望が取り除かれた状態」だから、精神的にかなりグラついてしまう。ともすれば鬱っぽくなる。

そう考えると、「希望」というのは、僕らが生きていく上で必要なもので、「上を見る理由」を提供することは僕ら表現者の仕事の一つでもあるなぁと思いました。

　
映画『えんとつ町のプペル』は来年公開に延期する話も上がったのですが、「いやいや、今年公開しよう！」とワガママを言いました。
大変なのは百も承知で、だけど、だからこそ、皆と同じように大変な中で頑張って、頑張って頑張って結果を出す。

その姿を見せることができたら、「ああ、こんな中でも死ぬ気で努力すれば活路が見いだせるんだな」と思ってもらえて、誰かの規模になることができるなぁと思って、今年公開に踏み切りました。

　
メインビジュアルは、そういう気持ちを全部込めて、「煙に覆われて、なかなか星が見つからない町の中で、それでも上を見続ける主人公達の横顔」にして見ました。

んでもって、大切なお知らせの二つ目です。

昨夜、YouTubeの生配信で喋ったのですが、HYDEさん愛が爆発してしまって１時間近く喋っちゃったので、あたらめて短くまとめます。

映画『えんとつ町のプペル』のオープニング主題歌「ハロウィンパーティ プペルver.」の配信が開始されました。

HYDEさんが子供達と歌っているのですが、これ、本当にビックリするぐらいカッコイイので、一度聴いてください。
僕は昨夜から、かれこれ２０回ぐらい聴いています。



こちらの楽曲は、もともと２０１２年頃に発表されていたんです。

それが、もう、とっても素敵で……まもなく、日本にもハロウィンが一つの文化として根付いて、その後、様々なハロウィンソングが世に出てきたのですが、僕個人的には、この楽曲を超える「ハロウィンソング」には出会わなかったんですね。

やっぱりブッちぎりだったんです。



映画『えんとつ町のプペル』のオープニングシーンの脚本を書くときも、後ろにずっとこの曲を流していて、この曲に引っ張られるようにオープニングを書いたんですね。

で、いよいよ「オープニング曲の制作をしよう」という段階に差し掛かった時に、「いや、ちょっと待てよ」と。

２０１２年から、HYDEさんの「ハロウィンパーティ」を超える曲が出てこなくて、んでもって、そもそも「ハロウィンパーティー」を流しながら、この曲に合うように本を書いてしまっている。
この条件で、「ハロウィンパーティーを超える曲なんて作れるんだっけ？」と思ったんですね。

というわけで、「一旦、ダメ元で、HYDEさんに、この曲を使わせていただけるか、お願いしてみよう」と。で、「ダメだったら、頑張って作ろう」ということで、話がまとまったんです。



やっぱり、「イイものはイイ」ので。

変にエゴをこじらせて、何でもかんでも「自分でやる」とするのではなくて、素晴らしいものにあやかれるのなら、あやかった方がイイ。
それが製作総指揮の仕事だなぁと思ったんです。

で、ダメ元で、HYDEさんにお願いしたところ、これが本当に本当にありがたいことに、なんとHYDEさんが、そもそも『えんとつ町のプペル』のファンでいてくださって、快く「オッケー」をくださったんです。

こんなにありがたいことはありません。

そして、もっとありがたいのはここからです。
ここから僕のHYDE愛が爆発するのですが……映画館で流すとなると規格も変わりますし、さらには前後の音楽とのバランスもあって、今回、「ハロウィンパーティー」を映画用にアレンジする必要があったんですね。


そこからのHYDEさんが本当に最高すぎたのですが、HYDEさんったら、楽曲を提供して終わりじゃないんです。

「えんとつ町」には、こういう音は鳴らない」とか「煙の中から聴こえてくる音は、こっちだ」といった感じで、映画用のアレンジを本当にトコトン付き合ってくださったんです。

テレビのインタビューだと「オッケー、オッケー」といった軽い感じで受けて、サクッとやりました感が出ていますが、どっこい、皆さんが思われている「トコトン付き合う」の５倍ぐらいトコトン付き合ってくださった。

歌詞も若干変わってるんです。

もともと歌詞の中に、「月明かり」というワードがあったのですが、「えんとつ町」は煙に覆われて空を知らない町なので、月も知らないので、「月明かり」が「薄明かり」になっていたり、その他にも、えんとつ町にあるハズがないものは歌詞から省いて、えんとつ町仕様に変えてくださったんです。

んで、また、子供の声との相性が抜群！
ロックミュージシャンと子供が、メチャクチャイイ感じに融合している。

　
一言でいうと、「HYDEさんが好きだ」ということです。



学生時代、僕はアルバイトで、ラルク・アン・シエルさんのコンサートスタッフをさせていただいたんです。

スタッフはステージに背を向けて、お客さんの方を見なきゃいけないのですが、両耳は全部ステージの方を向いていて、実は、その時のライブに、まだ出会う前の梶原君も来ていて、僕はスタッフとして、梶原君はお客さんとして、ラルクさんのライブに参加させていただいたんです。

ときどき梶原君と、その話になるのですが、あの日、あのライブを観て、ステージ上のラルクさんを観て感じたことは、僕も梶原君も全く同じで、僕らが目指したのは「お笑い」だったのですが、もうちょっと大きな枠として捉えた時に、「いつか、あっち側に行ってみたいな」と思ったんです。

なんか、本当にキラキラしていた。

コンサートの撤収でパイプ椅子とかを片付けながら、「あっち側に行きたい」と、ずっと思っていました。



なので、今回、こういった形でご一緒させていただくことになったのは、あの日の自分の希望でしかなくて、もしタイムマシン的なものがあれば、あの日に戻って「お前、メチャクチャ頑張ったら、いけるぞ」と彼に言ってやりたいです。



まぁ、とにかく、HYDEさんが映画『えんとつ町のプペル』用に作り直してくださった「ハロウィンパーティー」が本当に、本当に最高なので、是非、聴いてみてください。

　
あと、とはいえ「いただきっぱなし」は気持ちが悪いので、今回、お力を貸してくださったHYDEさんに対して、また、HYDEさんをずっと支えてくださったファンの皆様、スタッフの皆様に対して、僕なりの恩返しはさせていただきます。

《刻在你心底的名字》的阿漢與 Birdy，令我想起《臥虎藏龍》的李慕白和俞秀蓮。他們皆受制於群體的異樣眼光而無法大膽說愛，只能壓抑情感。李慕白和俞秀蓮就連身在郊區竹林涼亭，也只能用：「我的師父常說，把手握緊，裡面什麼也沒有；把手放開，你得到的是一切。」這樣的話語來安慰彼此的無法相守。

到了《刻在你心底的名字》，阿漢和 Birdy 年輕時無法承受社會對同志的歧視眼光，最終失去了聯繫。多年後，兩人在加拿大街頭巧遇，終於能夠用較為釋懷的態度回看數十年前埋藏在彼此心底的愛。然而，即便時代已經不同於以往，到了別離時刻，他們仍只是反覆地向對方道「晚安」(我愛你的密語)。把愛說出口(出櫃)，終究是有點難。

但我想阿漢和 Birdy 的故事會有後續發展吧，「#我能陪你再多走一段嗎？」一個鼓足勇氣的請求，一個微笑地答應，給了觀眾一分希望。

相較於阿漢和 Birdy 也許在多年後有機會重拾他們多年前的愛情遺憾，#教會學校的歐神父或許是個更悲傷的角色。歐神父的伴侶對阿漢說，歐神父常說他無法上天堂(同志身份)，歐神父打心底認定「真實的自己」是罪人，不完美，不值得被愛。這樣的觀念糾纏歐神父一輩子直到他的死亡。

《刻在你心底的名字》有兩首歌曲在片中不斷播放，一是愛爾蘭民謠【Danny Boy】，電影開場未久，歐神父詢問阿漢為何與 Birdy 發生爭執？阿漢緩緩道出他埋藏內心的秘密。此時背景放了「Danny Boy」一曲。一開始覺得這首歌意在點出阿漢愛著的是「Boy」而非「Girl」。直到電影尾聲，才發現這首歌其實是歐神父心境的展演。

歐神父曾向阿漢提及他早年的戀情，他說：「我看他的時候，他也正在看我。」電影此時透過剪接，讓觀眾看到阿漢與 Birdy 對望彼此的雙眼，那是愛的眼神(喜歡一個人時，眼睛總是會跟著對方遊走)，也暗示了歐神父與阿漢有過相同的經歷(一段無疾而終的苦戀)。另外，【Danny Boy】歌詞後段也偷偷預言(預告)了阿漢多年後將會拜訪歐神父墓地一事。

【這個世界】除了是 Birdy 和阿漢的定情曲，也是 Birdy 對於生活的世界的想望，一如他把軍歌替換成【這個世界】，就是想要破除社會對同志的迫害，盼能獲得多一點溫柔與關愛，少一些打壓與扭曲。

喜歡《刻在你心底的名字》很大的一部份原因，在於它勾起了我好多的回憶。三毛的書、蔡藍欽的歌、軍歌比賽、BB Call等。它們既形塑了時代感，同時也能跟電影劇情產生連結，一如 Birdy 提出三毛的文字，其實是愛的告白(你是我心中最「特別」的存在)，或是在軍歌比賽演唱蔡藍欽的歌曲，點出對社會歧視的不滿。

此外，《刻在你心底的名字》也跟不少電影作品致敬：《刻在你心底的名字》的角色配置很難不讓人想起《以你的名字呼喚我》，阿漢之於艾里歐、Birdy 之於奧立佛、歐神父之於艾里歐的父親(不同世代的人面對同志戀情的不同結局)。

Birdy 這個英文名字源於 Alan Parker 導演的《鳥人》(電影甚至重新搬演一次《鳥人》的結局)。《鳥人》敘述一名有著戰後創傷的男子，不被社會所理解與接受，渴望能像鳥兒一樣地自由飛翔...。《刻在你心底的名字》藉《鳥人》來點出 Birdy 透過誇張行徑來掩飾內心的徬徨與無助(覺得真實的自己被囚禁在不自由的籠子中)。

再者，《刻在你心底的名字》尾聲，Birdy 和阿漢相繼拜訪尼加拉瓜大瀑布，畫面呈現非常地有《春光乍洩》的味道(但《春光乍洩》拜訪的是伊瓜蘇大瀑布)、兩人同處異鄉卻又不斷錯過彼此，讓我想起陳可辛導演的《甜蜜蜜》、阿漢在加拿大巧遇 Birdy 的橋段設計，則跟林書宇導演的《星空》結局有著異曲同工之妙，一段沒有結果的青春戀曲，多年後在異地找到了重新開始的機會。

話說，《星空》的小男主角林暉閔也有演出《刻在你心底的名字》，就是片中被霸凌的同志男孩。

#與生俱來
.
《刻在你心底的名字》片中有幾個配角，戲份非常的少，但導演都有給出一幕令人難忘的好戲，例如阿漢在家人面前準備「出櫃」時，他的母親(王彩樺這一幕有打動我！)瞬間滾落的淚水，訴說母親老早知道了些什麼，只是一直沒有(不敢)承認；或是班班多年後跟 Birdy 結婚又離婚，她幽幽地說：「現在我才懂，喜歡一個男生是與生俱來的，#早知道我就不努力了，害了我一生，也害了他...」(飾演班班的是魏如萱耶！)
.
班班這個角色跟阿漢的母親是個漂亮的對照組。阿漢曾問過母親為何要跟不愛的人(父親)在一起，母親說：「久了就愛了。」但我們卻在與 Birdy 離婚的班班話語中，聽見了她的懊悔。班班以為愛情可以改變 Birdy (相信只要努力，就算不愛也會變成愛)，卻沒想過自己最多只能做到讓對方順從世俗的規矩，卻無法改變對方「與生俱來」的性向。

#全裸
.
與生俱來，是無法被改變的。《刻在你心底的名字》在片中有一場阿漢和 Birdy 全裸游泳的戲，他們褪去了所有的衣物(褪去受制於大環境的壓迫而變得武裝的心)，以最真實的自己和對方坦誠相見(沒有任何的偽裝)。我很喜歡那一場戲，在那一刻，阿漢和 Birdy 短暫地「當自己」，直到他們重新穿上衣服回到校園與家庭，又成了被社會牽制的人。

#兩個世代
.
我其實很怕看「兩種年紀交由不同演員詮釋」的作品，表演很容易出現落差，情感難以銜接(請看陳凱歌的《梅蘭芳》)。《刻在你心底的名字》沒有這樣的問題。兩位年輕演員非常棒，陳昊森和曾敬驊很令人驚艷，前者因為愛而逐漸變得勇敢，後者用種種瘋狂行徑來掩飾內心的膽小(也是害怕傷到對方)，他們的對手戲有爆點有火花有讓人感受到慾望和愛情的流動。

中年時期改由戴立忍和王識賢接手演出，乍聽之下會覺得這組合怪怪的，沒想到戴立忍戲份不算多，但是場場有記憶點，尤其王識賢跟他打招呼時，他摀著嘴巴表現驚喜一幕，表情超自然又超可愛，瞬間收買我的心。至於王識賢，一開始覺得他跟曾敬驊外表根本不像啊，看了電影後才發現兩人的眼神超像！！

#可不可以不要再怒吼了？
.
要說《刻在你心底的名字》有什麼讓我比較受不了的點，大概就是阿漢和 Birdy 有些情緒會突然高升，有點太習慣用怒吼來表現憤怒(情緒瞬間爆衝的次數有點多)。另外，為什麼青春電影一定要有主角們「對某一個地方怒吼或大叫」(宣洩情緒)的橋段設計啊？
