I’m naturally an impatient person. It stems from being a perfectionist and overachiever. But I know this about myself and am taking steps to change my tendency to make snap judgments or criticize (both myself and others).

The older I get, I’m realizing that in order to be truly great at anything, one must be patient, trust the process, and put in the time. Here are my tips. I hope you find them useful. 😊

- Make time to work on yourself, physically, mentally and emotionally.
- Pick something and focus your attention on it until you master it.
- Practice daily.
- Don’t expect shortcuts.
- Be willing to fail. Over and over and over.
- Trust the process.

In the end, the one who can harness the power of patience and stand the test of time, will emerge a true warrior.

I was taught that in every moment in life, you have a choice. I’ve lived my life with the knowledge that, however big or small, I have the power and the right to make my own choice.

And so when Breitling asked me to join their squad for the #ChosenNotGiven campaign, I immediately said yes. This message is so important for women to hear and to own. That your choice matters. Your voice matters. And you don’t have to wait for anyone in order to make your first move.
