九月第二週 重返語言的密碼：西洋詞選 ◎責編文／林淵智
在現在中生代的作家作品中，我們不難發現在一九七零年代，民歌風氣方興的臺灣，Bob Dylan、The Beatles、John Denver等歌手，對當代文青有著十足深遠的影響。從詞曲中所傳達的種種反戰、平等意識，到千變萬化的戀愛型態，都對一整個世代的臺灣人，找到了一種宣洩情緒，尋求共同體的模式，催生了臺灣音樂時代的文藝復興。而這些西洋歌手所傳唱的歌，除了韻式、內涵外，也有著因非母語語言所陌生化後，對整首歌造成的神祕感。以及這種神祕感帶給我們的奇妙的聆賞經驗。
因此在本週，我們選擇了六首歌曲，分別為五首英文歌及一首西班牙文歌，包括了上個月上映的《尚氣與十環傳奇》中的主題曲，The Eagles的〈Hotel California〉。並由寫手重新翻譯後進行賞析，祝各位讀者閱讀愉快。
