This boy can't stop singing this song he just learnt and it seems like he is all set to celebrate #鼠年 in school tomorrow! 🧧🧨🎋
Oh, and we finally got a new set of traditional costume for him. He has outgrown the hand-me-down he had previously (that was for age 1 but we used it till he was 3, haha) and can't expect him to wear jiejies' qipaos mah, so I bought him a new set this year. It is oversized for now - I bought the age 6 one - but that means he can still wear it for a couple of years, yay! #能省则省
Besides the usual CNY goodies, we will also be bringing a carton of Milo to share with his schoolmates. It's one of his favourite drinks (which kid doesn't love Milo?) and it will be nice to share and feast together with his friends. We will also be having at least three gatherings at our home - yes, gonna be very 热闹! - so yay, we have the drinks settled for the little ones. Actually, I also love Milo a lot too since young and even up till now, so it is also an adult's drink in my view. Haha.
After the school celebration, we will be having reunion lunch at home and then reunion dinner at my grandma's place, followed by 守岁 with the kids till midnight. What are your 除夕 plans? Hope you are as excited as us, if not more!
P.S. He loves his lion head because he says his favourite teacher brought the same one to school too. How cute!
P.P.S. For primary school kids, it's cheaper to let them bring a packet of Milo to school than to buy one from the canteen. My girls drink plain water on most days but they also get a weekly treat too. Oh, my girls said both of them are performing and dancing on stage tomorrow for their CNY celebration and they are so excited about it! ♥️
