จากบทสัมภาษณ์ล่าสุดกับทาง GameSpot คุณ Ian Frazier ผู้กำกับฝ่ายสร้างสรรค์ของ Star Wars: Squadrons ยืนยันว่า ตัวเกมจะมีแต่มุมมองบุคคลที่ 1 ในห้องค็อกพิทเท่านั้น

"ทั้งเกมถูกออกแบบตั้งแต่แรกเริ่มให้เป็นมุมมองบุคคลที่ 1 ตลอดทั้งเกม คุณคือนักบิน ข้อมูลทั้งหมด ถูกสร้างขึ้นในแผงควบคุมนั่น ดังนั้น คุณสามารถปิดหน้าจอ UI ทั้งหมด ถ้าคุณต้องการและเชื่อมั่นในการควบคุมของคุณ เราอยากให้มันเป็นประสบการณ์การเล่นหลัก"

Frazier ยังกล่าวอีกว่า การล็อคมุมมองบุคคลที่ 1 จะเป็นการทำให้การเล่น Multiplayer มีความสมดุลด้วย เพราะถ้าใครๆ สามารถขับในมุมมองบุคคลที่ 3 ได้ ทุกคนก็จะใช้แต่โหมดนี้เพื่อขยายมุมมองในระหว่างการต่อสู้ให้กว้างที่สุด ซึ่งนี่เป็นสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นใน Battlefield ทุกเกม รวมไปถึง Star Wars Battlefront 2 ด้วย

แต่อย่างไรก็ตาม Frazier ยืนยันว่า อย่างน้อย คุณจะยังสามารถเห็นยานอวกาศของตัวเองในมุมมองบุคคลที่ 3 ได้ ก็ต่อเมื่ออยู่ในโหมด Spectator

[News] EA confirms Star Wars: Squadrons will only have 1nd person views to get a real and balanced playing experience in Multiplayer.

From a recent interview with GameSpot, Mr. Ian Frazier, Star Wars Creative Director: Squadrons confirms that the game will only have a 1th person view in the cocktail room.

′′ The whole game was designed from the first start to the 1rd person view throughout the game. You're the pilot. All data was created in that control panel. So you can close all UI screens if you want and believe in your control. We want it to be. The main play experience ′′

Frazier also said that locking the 1th person's view will balance Multiplayer's play. If anyone can drive the 3th person's view, everyone will use this mode to expand the view during the widest battle. This is what happens in Battlefield every game, including Star Wars Battlefront 2

However, Frazier confirms that you can at least see your spaceship in the 3rd person view when it's in Spectator mode.

Star Wars: Squadrons will officially be released on PS4, XB1 and PC on Oct 3 July. This is it.
