This is our first day of ramadan during the MCO in Malaysia.
Isobel and Iman have fasted in previous months, but Iman has yet to complete a full month of fast and she is determined to do it this year!

At 3PM, admittedly, our spirits and energy was low -- probably a good thing this is a one off with the kids as I wanted to listen to their views on Ramadan before I shared the story of Aisha Siddiqa (ra) with them.

We highlighted a few paragraphs in the book. I am trying so hard to not just pique their interest to reading again ( the social distancing and online schooling has made their devices more accessible to them now which means, they aren't as keen in reading as before =(), but also to find out more about different Islamic leaders of yesteryears.

Everyone is doing their part in helping the marginalised during this MCO.

Remember the ASL Ice Bucket Challenge? Well, our first guest, KYAN YAP drew inspiration from this viral charity drive for his latest #SignUP4MY Challenge. Just to let you know, TeaMa for Covid-19 Face Shields are meant for LOW RISK frontliners and are not meant for high risk usage.

He reached out to
1. See how he can let more people know about how to donate to this cause and
2. To remind those who receive their 3D Face Shields, that they CAN WASH AND REUSE them because it is made out of plastic and NOT foam.

Finally, as we start the Holy Month of Ramadan tomorrow, I speak to co-Founder of DOPS TV, MIZZ NINA who has been ever so kind to share the Fahm al Qur'an with me (This is my 3rd year now).
One of the most virtuous deeds that can be done during the month of Ramadan is to stay connected to the Qur'an - by reciting it, understanding it and contemplating over its Ayaat! t’s not just about reading and katam the Quran, it’s about faham, understanding it and acting upon it - wonderful opportunity to learn online the entire Quran in Ramadan!

She recently founded Kami-kita.com (link: https://kami-kita.com/) - the 1st Marketplace with influencers preloved items auction feautre and unlike other marketplaces in the market, they will operate like a seasonal pop-up virtual bazaar and will be donating part proceed of sales from vendors, to their respective charity of their choice.
