It was such an amazing experience seeing the turtle hatchlings and releasing them the same night ✨

You know, I am not the most eco conscious person like some of my friends are. And they are people who take urgent initiatives to help us sustain and better our environment.
I don't ever claim to know more than I do about it but I am willing to learn more as I know our home, this planet, is in grave danger.
I know, I know, not many of us want to be reminded about the realities and real talk about the world sometimes, some of us just scroll down whenever we see posts that speak about anything environmental, in hopes that the next post will make us forget what is truly actually happening.
We don't feel it as much because we are already beings that are confined to comfort around us... Running tap water, electronics, luxury of our gadgets, roof over our heads... But it doesn't take a lot for anyone to do in order to realize how good we have it.
Be it hiking, or even watching a documentary about the lives of others around the world who lack even basic human necessities, will definitely elevate your sense of gratitude of what you already have in your life.
I know I'm no eco-advocate, my calling in this lifetime is music because that's all I know what to do... But as a person in the arts I feel its time and it's important to get to know more...
I've also been away, living in large metropolises around the world, that a 5 day trip to reconnect with the forest of my homeland of Borneo and learning about how little of it we have left, because of the inevitable demands us humans keep having and adding, would open my eyes and had me have a sense of urgency also about the little things I can do to help... Recycling better, preserving better, and cutting down on habits that may contribute to any harm to our environment...
Really, I'm trying.
As I said, I am not in any means the most eco-conscious as some of my friends are, but now that I've gone out and seen and learned about it all first hand, it truly is inspiring to want to learn more about how and what little ole me can do to help, in my own little ways. You can too! =)
