The 70-year-old patient identified only as Eric, was diagnosed with #leukemia last December in Hong Kong and told that he needed a bone marrow #transplant, also known as a stem cell transplant, to save his life, the Cancer Center said.

急性白血病（又稱急性血癌）不是省油的燈。
治療過程既有百米賽跑的intensity，又有馬拉松式的漫長。
她表現得很好，可以笑的時候不會哭，可以大聲的時候不會小聲。
一輪輪的化療、感染治療，她都挺過來了（擦淚）。

不是玻璃鞋或白馬王子

✔️ 從健康的個體移植的骨髓 / 幹細胞，可用來救治多種血液相關疾病患者。
疫情期間，國外骨髓捐贈者難求，只得求助於國內自願捐贈者。但馬來西亞的幹細胞捐贈者人數偏低，降低了匹配率。

❓我符合資格嗎？
✔️ 任何年紀介於 18 - 50 歲的馬來西亞公民，只要沒有重大疾病，都可以註冊成為骨髓自願捐贈者。

❓我要做什麼咧？
✔️ 拿起手機，撥電給馬拉西亞幹細胞登記處（03-26162790 / 03-26162780），提前預約骨髓測試。
測試結果會被登記處存檔，如果您是一位骨髓匹配的捐贈者，登記處將再聯繫您。

❓Why should I do so?
✔️The blood stem cells transplantation from healthy individuals to patients suffering from blood-related diseases can help patients to recover and become healthy again.
It is relatively difficult to get international donors during pandemic and the number of registered stem cell donors marks low in Malaysia.

❓Am I eligible?
✔️ Any Malaysian aged 18-50 and free from chronic diseases, can register as a donor volunteer

❓What should I do?
✔️ Call the Malaysian Stem Cell Registry (MSCR) at 03-26162790 / 03-26162780 to make an early appointment for Buccal Swab test. You will be informed if you are a matching donor.
