How does a caterpillar become a butterfly? It all starts with a tiny pin-sized egg! Every day, baby caterpillars will eat lots of leaves until they get much bigger. The next caterpillars’ life cycle is pupa before they stretch their beautiful wings and become an adult butterfly. This life cycle then starts all over again after reproduction.

One of the best ways for the whole family to experience this incredible life journey of butterflies is to visit Singapore’s first indoor butterflies sanctuary Butterflies Up-Close exhibition @ Science Centre Singapore.

And did you know? Parents can also host birthday parties for their child in a beautiful party room overlooking the live butterfly enclosure! There are two packages: Forest Fun and Fairy Fun. There will be a guided tour, party packs, photo taking opportunities and much more!

#throwback to our visit to the Science Centre Singapore for the #ButterfliesUpClose exhibition, we were so amazed by the beauty of the butterflies with their flattering wings and intricate patterns! It was a great learning experience when we attended their free guided tour!

We learnt that butterflies and Moths (swipe to see our pic of The Atlas Moth!) are actually not the same! Do you know that most Moths usually doesn’t last over a week as they don’t eat anything at all!

We could easily imagine how fun it will be if we can hold birthday parties here with the true beauty of nature - 2 packages available to chose from!

Last week’s visit to Butterflies Up-Close exhibition @sciencecentresg had my kiddos wide-eyed the whole time. Brightly lit wings and psychedelic colours on these wonderful creatures definitely activated the senses in my little ones!

The Butterfly Up-Close indoor sanctuary is now open to parties with beautifully decorated party rooms and backdrops for memorable photo moments.
Engage kids in a sensory play with these free roaming creatures within the enclosure. And if you get lucky, these docile insects might just land on you for a perfect instagrammable moment!
