Đó là công bố mới nhất của Tổ chức Động vật châu Á (Animals Asia) hôm nay khi tiếp nhận và cứu hộ thành công 4 cá thể gấu từ Rạp xiếc Trung ương về Trung tâm Cứu hộ Gấu Tam Đảo.
Theo thông tin của Liên đoàn Xiếc Việt Nam, cả bốn cá thể này đều là gấu cái, và đều trong tình trạng sức khoẻ ổn định, nặng khoảng 60 kg mỗi cá thể. Sự chuyển giao này là kết quả của quá trình điều chỉnh việc sử dụng động vật trong biểu diễn, thay thế xiếc động vật hoang dã sang huấn luyện và biểu diễn xiếc động vật nông nghiệp.
Bốn cá thể gấu tầm 5-7 tuổi, được nuôi từ nhỏ, đã từng biểu diễn xiếc sẽ được đưa về Trung tâm Cứu hộ Gấu Việt Nam tại Vườn quốc gia Tam Đảo, Vĩnh Phúc, được hưởng điều kiện chăm sóc và phục hồi tốt nhất trong suốt phần đời còn lại. Các nghệ sỹ và nhân viên chăm sóc gọi tên chúng là Nhất, Nhị, Tiên, và Ngoan. Tổ chức Động vật Châu Á ghi nhận sự phối hợp và trao đổi thông tin từ Trung tâm Cứu hộ Động vật Hoang dã Hà Nội và Trung tâm Giáo dục thiên nhiên trong quá trình xác minh thông tin và chuyển giao gấu.
Đây là lần thứ hai Tổ chức Động vật Châu Á cứu hộ gấu từ Rạp xiếc Trung ương Hà Nội. Vào tháng 4/2019, đơn vị cũng nhận hai cá thể gấu ngựa từ đây, và hiện cả hai gấu đều đang sống khoẻ mạnh, hoà nhập tốt tại các khu bán tự nhiên tại Trung tâm.
Lấy cảm hứng vui tươi từ hai cô gấu Sugar (đường), Spice (gia vị) trước đây, các nhân viên của Tổ chức quyết định đặt tên cho bốn gấu mới theo chủ đề này, là Chilli (ớt), Saffron (nhuỵ nghệ tây), Tiêu, và Gừng với mong muốn cuộc sống phía trước của gấu sẽ luôn hấp dẫn và sống động. Sáu cô gấu “Spice Girls” sẽ cùng đoàn tụ tại mái ấm tự do Trung tâm Cứu hộ Gấu Việt Nam.
