Candice and Annie are working on their Master’s at the University of Southern California, one of the most popular schools for international students. COVID-19 has impacted their situation, with classes online, but they’ve discovered how to use this opportunity to their own benefit. Annie, whose major is Journalism, says “We are able to meet various lecturers from UK or other U.S. schools.” Candice, majoring in TESOL, says “Distance learning is a trend for future teaching, and I can start observing and practicing in this period.” COVID-19 may have impacted their plans, but they are both optimistic about the future and this rare chance to be studying in the United States today.
