去年我們參加明日之子的時候，導演問我們：「為什麼你們不去結婚，非得參加節目？」當時很簡單的帶過，但其實也曾在心裡很掙扎的質問過自己。在很多人定義在該結婚的年齡做什麼，該完成人生大事的時候，為什麼要被時間和年齡所定義？覺得自己命運由自己主宰。
每年會習慣性去進修，兩年前下決心扛了大電腦和midi鍵盤，在最煎熬的時段，讓我們感受到了世態炎涼，人與人之間瞬間失去了溫度，關懷日漸被冷漠代替。這首歌的旋律從口中響起…
製作前期，其實有很多質疑的聲音「自己的創作確定能拿出來聽嗎？」 「製作不是那麼容易的工作，你們最好找個專業製作大師來搞吧」。
其實一路走來內外界對我們作品的評價都會認真去看，我們希望自己的新作品能夠讓大家刷新對我們的固有定義。直到現在的我們也是十分忐忑又期待的。如果可以，告訴我們有哪些不足還可以完善的地方。
這首新創作，當時第一個邀請的就是我們的恩師許環良老師，在之前的很多張專輯里的歌曲都是由他來主導方向，多年的配合下很瞭解我們對音樂的需求和習慣。這次配唱過程非常順利。
第一次合作的梁茫老師，雖然只見過一次面，短短半小時的聊天就能get到我們所想表達的，完整了《異地戀人》詞面上的拼圖。以及編曲老師王圓坤，很出色90後音樂人，默契好到來來回回合作也有幾年的時間了。
謝謝一同完成這個作品的每個人，台前幕後，經紀人董姐，劉哥，石頭，還有可愛的工作室小夥伴們，包括企划、服化、攝影老師們。
音樂陪伴了我們最好的時光和低谷的時候，就像聽到旋律之後瞬間療癒了過去所有的傷疤。
雖然從16歲就開始寫歌，但對我們來說這原創之旅才剛剛開始，每當完成新的原創作品，都會先給身邊的前輩們聽聽，希望從他們身上學習到更多，精進技能。每一次的作品呈現都能讓大家感覺到BY2的成長。
抱歉兩年前寫下的作品今天才讓你們聽到，其實私下一直不停的反復推翻修改。終於在今天和大家見面了。希望經過時間的打磨，我們的原創能讓你在感到身心疲憊的時候給予一些治癒力量。在這艱難的2020年，不用吞下所有的委屈獨自承受，不要害怕距離，因為沈澱中，總會有奇跡。
