「亞太國會議員聯合會」(Asian Pacific Parliamentarians’ Union) 是日本已故首相岸信介 (前任日相安倍晉三之外祖父) 及友我政要賀屋興宣眾議員等人，於1965年11月發起成立，基於自由、民主與反共理念，目的在於促進亞太地區國家交流，促進區域友好、親善、和平、安定與繁榮。

The 50th General Assembly of the Asian-Pacific Parliamentarians' Union (#APPU) and the 84th Council Meeting took place online from February 2-3, hosted by #Japan with representatives from #Taiwan, the #CookIslands, #Kiribati, #Nauru, the #MarshallIslands, the #Philippines, the #SolomonIslands, #Thailand, #Tonga and #Tuvalu all taking part.
Legislative Speaker You Si-Kun and members of the Foreign and legislative committee members from various parties represented Taiwan at the meetings. Both Speaker You and Legislator Wen Yu-Hsia gave addresses at the council meeting and general assembly respectively. The theme of this year’s assembly was #COVID19 #PandemicPrevention and socioeconomic stimulus efforts in its wake. Taiwan shared his experience in combating the pandemic, as well as committing to cooperating in international prevention efforts.
The APPU is composed of parliamentarians from the #AsiaPacific who agree with the aim of achieving and preserving regional #freedom, democracy, #peace and #prosperity.
