Given the recent developments in the global pandemic and the emergence of the B117 variant of the #COVID19 virus, #Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center has announced new regulations, and we’re on hand to tell you what that means for you!
Beginning January 1, 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 will be barred from entry to Taiwan, with the 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of the following groups:
👉 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬;
👉 personnel on 𝐝𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, persons who can prove they are fulfilling 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, or persons admitted for 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬;
👉 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 of 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 or 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬;
👉 other persons requiring special permission, including 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞-𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬.
Beginning January 15, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 returning or traveling to Taiwan should quarantine at a 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞. If people choose to quarantine at home, they must sign an affidavit declaring they have met the requirement of 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
