Vising the wet market in Phuket to buy some seafood for dinner!

Because the food options around the place we were staying at were quite limited, we decided that we would take advantage of the beautiful BBQ Grill and cook some food for dinner.

We heard about the fresh seafood market that was down by the beach and decided to go shopping for some fresh catch. Luckily Brandon and Nick are experts on seafood so I tagged along with them while we went shopping.

They honestly taught me so much about buying seafood! hehe.

The day began with lots of heavy rain and a dip in the pool while it was drizzling. Then Brandon, Nick and I decided to hop onto a tuktuk and take a drive to Phuket's wet market that was down by the beach.

Such an amazing array of colourful seafood. Most of the creatures we saw there I had never actually see or heard of in my life. So the boys gave me a 1 hour science lesson on how to identify fresh fish and pick and choose the best of the selection.

I love being able to see how different cultures do things and really get into the local vibe, so I definitely wasnt going to miss out on a chance to see this place. So worth the visit. Even though it was drizzling the entire time we were there.

Ended up buying a tonne of amazing seafood. I did absolutely nothing to help except walk around and pester the boys about what everything was. hehe.

We asked the tuktuk driver to wait an hour for us while we did all the shopping we needed to and once we were done, we gave him a call and he came to pick us back up and take us home.

Got home with the goodies and had everyone eating some fresh durian that Brandon picked up for Khiara. Honestly cant understand why people don't like durian. It's such an amazing fruit. Definitely a delicacy of Malaysia and South East Asia.
