=================================
1) Either way(どちらにしても〜だ)
=================================
「どっちでもいいよ」は“I’m fine either way. ”、「どちらにせよ、それは重要ではない」は“Either way, it’s not important. ちなみに、今日の会話で使われた“It could go either way.”
<例文>
I’m fine either way. I don’t have a preference.
Either way, it’s expensive. Let’s just fly there.
I have no idea who’s going to win tonight. It could go either way.
=================================
2) Much the same(ほぼ同じ)
=================================
「私もほぼ同じです」は“I’m much the same.”といいますが、ネイティブはよく“I’m pretty much the same.” ちなみに、「全く同じである」はvery much the sameと言います。
<例文>
I’m much the same. I hardly ever eat fast food.
My schedule is pretty much the same as yours.
We have very much the same personality.
=================================
3) Nothing like(〜とは全然違う)
=================================
例えば、「発音が全然違うよ」は“It sounds nothing like that.”、「彼は全然私に似ていません」は“He looks nothing like me.” ちなみに、“There is nothing like ____.” 日常会話では、there isを省いて“Nothing like ____.”
<例文>
You look nothing like your older brother. Are you guys really siblings?
Tokyo is nothing like LA. It’s a completely different kind of vibe out there.
Nothing like an ice cold beer on a hot summer day.
=================================
4) Pretentious(気取った)
=================================
<例文>
Don’t say things like that. It makes you sound pretentious.
I thought he came off a bit pretentious.
I don’t mean to sound pretentious, but the proper pronunciation is karaoke.
=================================
5) Force(強制する)
=================================
<例文>
My boss forced me to work last weekend. I didn’t even get paid for it.
Don’t force the drawer open. You’re going to break it.
I was full, but I forced myself to eat everything.

"If the name is not proper, then the speech will not be in order, and if speech is not in order, then nothing will be accomplished"
This famous adage of Confucius is well-known by everybody. However, there are still parents who refuse to research and remain stubborn to their own views. They are unable to escape from the confines of their genealogy book and carelessly give their sons and daughters a dangerously inauspicious name.
I have indeed seen a lot of such parents all these years. Now Master Dai Hu is going to specially talk about anthroponymy, out of compassion for ignorant sentient beings as always. I hope that you with the affinity to read this also generate bodhichitta and tell more people about this, partaking and forming more virtuous affinities in the process. That will be an wonderful act of merits. Sadhu! Sadhu!
What is an improper name? It is one with irregular external form, bad meaning, indecent pronunciation, inequilbrium in strength and gentleness, clashes in the five elements, inauspiciousness in configuration of the Three Talents, inauspiciousness in the Five Formations etc. If all these are not taken care of, your children will definitely encounter more disasters than good fortune. Naturally, if he or she does not know that the name is given by you, there will not be any friction between you.
However, when tragedy strikes, how can you bear in your heart?
Think over it calmly. Is this love or harm?
Do not use your pride, your attachment and your wealth as gambling stakes, and allow it to become toxic, eventually bringing harm to your children. Adhere to the above rules of Chinese Name Analysis well, and you will be able to give your children great selfless love.

Fun fact about me.. I have fear giving speeches and talks.. I am good at Q&A but can never do a proper formal speech without the help of a teacher.. I met @susan_lankester years ago when I was panicking for a speech.. She guided me.. Came to practise with me, corrected my pronunciation, grammars and helped me to build my confidence.
I had many different criticisms about the way I spoke ..And that I am not good in speaking. I didnt feel bad or give up. I dont come from an English speaking family.. Was 10 years in Chinese school.. Speak Cantonese probably my whole life. Now my Malay is so much better with many practise at work with collaegues.
I have given myself a chance to learn.. And I have improved quite a bit. I was even writing columns in The Star Papers for 4 years..With the help of a "ghost editor" Ena who beautified my words but she had never changed my flow and stories..She let me be myself..and I didnt give up! I believe if you have a goal, you can always reach where you want to be. Eventho I am not even there yet!
Everyday I learn something new.. Everyone around me is my teacher. I have learnt a lot from many of my clients too.. I listened and I learnt. Whenever I didnt understand the words..I ask.. I am not embarrassed.. I am not shy.. That is how we can be better.
I will continue to ask.. So forgive me if I do ask you what you mean? Why? What is that? How to say ? Whats that word? and many more.. #Dontgetbored

Guangzhou (simplified Chinese: 广州; traditional Chinese: 廣州; Cantonese pronunciation: [kʷɔ̌ːŋ.tsɐ̂u̯] or [kʷɔ̌ːŋ.tsɐ́u̯] ( listen); Mandarin pronunciation: [kwàŋ.ʈʂóu] ( listen)), traditionally romanised as Canton, is the capital and most populous city of the province of Guangdong in southern China. Located on the Pearl River about 120 km (75 mi) north-northwest of Hong Kong and 145 km (90 mi) north of Macau, Guangzhou was a major terminus of the maritime Silk Road and continues to serve as a major port and transportation hub.
Guangzhou is currently, the third most-populous city in mainland China, behind Beijing and Shanghai; holds sub-provincial administrative status; and is one of China's five National Central Cities. In 2015 the city's administrative area was estimated to have a population of 13,501,100 and forms part of one of the most populous metropolitan agglomerations on Earth. Some estimates place the population of the built-up area of the Pearl River Delta Mega City as high as 44 million without the Hong Kong SAR and 54 million including it. Guangzhou is identified as a Beta+ Global city. In recent years, there has been a rapidly increasing number of foreign residents and illegal immigrants from the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, as well as from Africa. This has led to it being dubbed the "Capital of the Third World". The migrant population from other provinces of China in Guangzhou was 40 percent of the city's total population in 2008. Most of them are rural migrants, and they speak only Mandarin.
Guangzhou was long the only Chinese port permitted for most foreign traders. The city proper fell to the British and was opened by the First Opium War. It lost trade to other ports such as Hong Kong and Shanghai, but continued to serve as a major entrepôt. In modern commerce, Guangzhou is best known for its annual Canton Fair, the oldest and largest trade fair in China. For the three consecutive years 2013–2015, Forbes ranked Guangzhou as the best commercial city on the Chinese mainland.
Let's take a proper look at Guangzhou, one of the four 1st tier cities in China...
