★ 當維生素D 變成明星主角,別忘了其他不可或缺的營養配角 ★
近年來維生素D 補充品成為熱門顯學之際,這幾天在美國骨科醫學會期刊(The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association)發表了一篇綜論指出:
「若體內鎂濃度不足,維生素D 就不能順利運輸、代謝轉化與利用,就算補充了高含量的維生素D 補充品。」

今天我們來聊聊主角旁邊的配角們吧~
鎂,扮演著重要的輔酵素角色,太多代謝機轉需要鎂的參與。若鎂不足,維生素D 就不能順利運輸、代謝轉化與利用,就算補充了豐富的維生素D 補充劑,體內維生素D 活化的程度可能有限。
(鎂的來源很多,新鮮食物中如全穀類如糙米燕麥、堅果類如杏仁腰果、葉綠素豐富的綠葉蔬菜如青花菜、各種水果如香蕉、豆類、蛋黃、種子類如亞麻籽、南瓜籽、芝麻等等。)
另外,額外補充維生素D 也會拉高血液中鈣離子的濃度。若體內的鎂離子偏低,血液中的鈣鎂比例過高,就會影響肌肉與心臟功能,肌肉也會容易痙攣。
若血管本身又不夠健康,有血管斑塊或有硬化的風險,此時過高的鈣離子造成血管鈣化的風險增加。這時候,維生素K2 就會出來緩頰,幫助血液中過多的鈣質送回骨中儲存,以減少血管鈣化的風險。
這時候,又有另一個配角出現:腸道細菌!腸道細菌會幫助維生素K2 的合成,讓維生素K2 保護血管健康,以免血鈣濃度過高,對血管健康造成威脅。
這齣戲的角色,鎂、鈣、維生素D3、維生素K2,就像是四人舞蹈般,能相互協同對方,這樣的舞蹈會是和諧而美妙(腸道細菌說他們也有功勞XD)。

這篇文獻,給了我們極具重要的提醒:
1. 若體內有一定程度的鎂,讓體內的維生素D 利用程度增加,就可以減輕對維生素D 高劑量補充的依賴。
2. 單一種營養素高量補充,需要其他營養素做為調節的後盾,才能真正發揮補充的效用、改善生理功能、減少負面影響。
3. 因此在額外補充營養素之時,同時均衡攝取各種天然食物,儼然成為非常重要的保護網。
4. 從多樣食物中攝取的營養,在體內複雜的生化代謝中相互調節與協助。用均衡且天然的飲食作為打底基礎,額外營養補充作階段性積極調整,就是最聰明不過的方式。
