氣喉(Vent Pipe) 一般安裝於排污系統中，用作排走污水糞渠 (Soil & Waste Pipe) 之空氣，通常垂直連接各層直達屋頂或天台。
康美樓排污系統疑為舊式設計(圖片是來自另一公屋)，氣喉建於屋內由底層接駁到高層直達天台。若氣喉有破損或接駁不佳的情況，引致氣喉內的氣體溢出，傳播病毒。
有兩樣野可以做：
(1) 目測看看氣喉有否破損或殘舊
(2) 若廁所在一段時間沒有人使用，仍聞到臭味，應立即找專業人士睇睇
(一般新型樓宇氣喉建於井道(Pipe duct)或外牆，不是在廁所內，各位無需過份恐慌。)
