【政策簡單說】貿易保護主義帶來之影響

美中貿易紛爭下
日本🇯🇵企業海外供應來源地將由中國
轉至越南🇻🇳、泰國🇹🇭及臺灣🇹🇼

日本貿易振興機構(JETRO)
分別於2018年及2019年調查美中貿易紛爭
對日本中堅及中小企業之影響，
發現2019年19.9%的企業已感受到負面影響，
較2018年增加5.4%左右。

由於關稅提高金額難以轉嫁在售價上，
多數企業自行吸收，加上銷貨訂單因美中貿易紛爭而減少，
23.2%的企業認為未來2-3年仍將維持負面影響😧

為因應負面影響，
日本企業提出「降低成本提高生產效率」
及「吸收關稅上漲所增加的成本」等對策，如：
1⃣生產基地移轉至越南🇻🇳、泰國🇹🇭
2⃣海外供應來源轉至越南🇻🇳、泰國🇹🇭及臺灣🇹🇼
3⃣重點銷售地區移轉至東協等國👍

JETRO conducted a survey of the impact of US-China trade war on SMEs in Japan🇯🇵 in 2018 and 2019. The survey finds 19.9% of enterprises feel negative in 2019 which is 5.4% more than that of 2018. An increase in tariffs and decrease in orders all make 23.2% of SMEs believe the negative impacts will last for years😧

One of the strategies to respond to the negative impacts is “Decreasing costs to increase productivity and absorb the costs increased by tariffs”. For example, Vietnam🇻🇳 and Thailand🇹🇭 will be the production bases, overseas sourcing transfer to Vietnam🇻🇳, Thailand🇹🇭 and Taiwan🇹🇼 ,and the main sales regions will be Southeast Asian Nations👍

Over 150 members of the foreign press have come to #Taiwan to cover the presidential and legislative elections, which are set to take place this Saturday.

Ahead of the polls, Minister Joseph Wu held an international press conference for foreign media outlets today, with over 50 media organizations from countries including the #US, #Canada, the #UK, #Germany, #Sweden, #Italy, #Spain, #Australia, #Japan, #SouthKorea, #HongKong, #Singapore, #Thailand and the #Philippines in attendance.

Minister Wu made clear that each election that occurs in Taiwan reinforces its position as a beacon of democracy in Asia, stating, “Democracy will prevail. Taiwan will prevail.”

Members of the press asked a range of questions on the importance of the presidential ballot, Chinese interference, the attitude of the Taiwanese public towards the "One Country Two Systems" framework, Taiwan's response to the US-China trade war and recent developments in Taiwan-US and Taiwan-Japan relations. Minister JW made an earnest effort to respond to every question during the hour-long Q&A session and we think the journalists left with all the answers they were looking for!
