This is my hometown, the place where I was born
It's at a harbour beside the sea
It isn't as bustling as the busy cities
There isn't any skyscraper as well
This is my old house that has gone through all the vicissitudes
It became old and dilapidated
It's not luxurious, yet filled with laughters
and the light of dawn
Our days were plain and simple
Never noticing the changes in the world
Returning to my hometown after many years
There are things that have disappeared
and we couldn't find it back
Why can't time pause?
Pausing at the most beautiful time
Dinner with my family, just like the usual
Enjoying the ordinary happiness
I've beckoned with all I have
But you've gone far away
Too many words left unsaid, yet you won't be able to hear them
The walls of the place I grew up are full with cracks
while the aroma of familiar food seeping through them
Termites and rats have infested the beams
and they are just like my family members
Many of my neighbours moving away from the old alley
Bringing with them the past liveliness
It floods high when it rains, the roof was torn open when wind blows
and electric always breakdown, what to do?
Every words my grandparents had said
they were never forgotten
My family is my largest support
People have joys and sorrows, the moon waxes and wanes
We can't do anything about it
This is my old house, the place where I grew up
The past is covered by dusts
I will try my best to restore my house
With every brick and tile
I put the pieces of memories and stories together

👉🏽 Socotra Island 🏝
Socotra, located between the Guardafui Channel and the Arabian Sea, is the largest of the four islands in the Socotra Archipelago.
It has been described as "the most alien-looking place on Earth." The island measures 132 kilometres (82 mi) in length and 49.7 kilometres (30.9 mi) in width.
In 2008 Socotra was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Those trees 🌳🐲aka. dragon’s blood trees, plants, they look like soft corals, hard coral and even the gorgonians under the sea, for some reasons being transplanting to land based(?)
Extraordinary look 😎, share to everyone.
Note:
Photo 5, it looks like from Mark Ryden’s hand.. 😆

【Origin Stories - Kass Monzon , Co-founder/CEO of Workbean AW#21】
I never anticipated becoming an entrepreneur. In fact I made every effort not to. My dad was an entrepreneur, and my brother ended up starting his own company as well. I wanted to do something different, chart my own path.
I dove head first into the corporate world, racking up logo and after logo in internships and early work experiences, eventually building up a pretty good career in sales. That eventually led me to a reputable multinational tech company based out of SG, where I became the youngest employee ever to take on the role of regional account manager.
I thought it was everything I wanted. But reality soon set in. In fact, I was miserable. The culture was the complete opposite of what I was expecting. It was extremely cutthroat, with no sense of inclusion or belonging. My work was constantly devalued despite hitting all my numbers, and whatever I did and no matter how much effort I put in, felt like it was never enough.
I ended up suffering from clinical depression. It was perhaps the lowest point in my life. But it also made me dig deep to really think about what it means to be happy at work, and how to properly educate yourself when looking for a job.
Not long after, I moved back to the PH to start Workbean. Two years in now and I’ve never looked back. There’s of course been many sleepless nights, and I’m constantly ripe with imposter syndrome, but hearing stories of job seekers finding their dream jobs, where they can learn, add value, and feel a sense of belonging has been a powerful driver to get me through the days.
***
Workbean (AW#21) is building Asia’s largest directory of company cultures to help companies attract the best talent while helping job seekers find meaningful work in companies where they will belong. They’re now working with over 100,000 digital job seekers and 32 companies across the region. For other startups targeting AI/Blockchain/NFT/SEA, applications for AW#23 are now open: https://bit.ly/2Tr069v

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
Some said social cleavages emerged in our city,
but what I witnessed was an unprecedented unity of HongKongers.
0:00 On 16 June 2019, Hong Kong experienced its largest protest in history.
0:05 As many as 2 million people demonstrated against the controversial extradition bill.
0:09 Many called for Chief Executive Carrie Lam to step down.
0:12 Protesters wearing black clothes filled streets and turned roads into a sea of black.
0:16 Many also mourned “martyr” Marco Leung, who fell to his death at Pacific Place the day before.
0:22 Demands reflected in placards included "Students are not rioters", "Release detained protesters" and "Investigate police brutality".
0:29 When the first group of marchers arrived at the march's endpoint, Tamar Park in Admiralty, there were still protesters waiting to leave Victoria Park in Causeway Bay.
0:35 Despite the infamous 721, 831 incidents throughout the summer, Carrie Lam did not declare full withdrawal of the controversial bill amendment until early September.
0:41 Never forget. Never forgive. ?

Hello everyone, I am Yap Hui Phong from Malaysia.
In 2020, I filmed a video by studying abroad in New Zealand.
In order to complete these works, I recorded the most primitive and pure nature of New Zealand.
It took me 10 months to realize a self-driving trip across the North and South Islands of New Zealand. The total mileage exceeds 32,000 kilometers.
From Mount Taranaki on the North Island to Mount Cook, the highest peak of the Southern Alps.
From the vast Canterbury Plain on the east coast to the lush and glacier rainforest on the west coast.
I carried 30 kilograms of equipment to the top of the mountains to wait for the sunrise.
Staying at the same place for a few days, just to wait for the moment when the sunset and the lonely bird fly together.
I am obsessed with the magnificent Pacific Ocean. And also marvel at the view of stars under the world's largest International Dark Sky Reserve.
I used to have tears in my eyes under the hot temperature of 38℃, and also shivered in the freezing wind of -12℃.
I can go over the mountain and across the sea, just because I love and enjoying in filming.
I am fearless, just because of the unyielding obsession.
Forgot how many nights there were. I was waiting in front of the tripod to write the entire galaxy into the camera bit by bit.
I keep buying hard drives to store the files. I have took more than 200,000 photos and post-production more than 1,000 hours.
Finally reduced to this 12TB material.
I also forgot how many nights there were. I seat in front of my computer adjusting every details of the photo again and again. And often unconsciously find that the sky outside the window is slightly bright.
In order to be able to capture the Lupins which represent the spring of New Zealand, and also to film the complete four seasons of New Zealand.
I applied for an extension of my visa once again to stay in New Zealand. And waiting by the Lake Tekapo for half a month, just to capture the moment when the Lupins bloom.
In order to capture the beauty of Glowworm, I went deep into the cave in the isolated mountain. My feet were soaked in the stream for three days before I took the picture I wanted.
Fortunately, the film also successfully won the first place in the 8KRAW photography contest.
In the competitions held by the best teams in the world, I was lucky to have won the coveted award.
I also want to thank Director Wen-yuan, Lu of HD.CLUB CO., LTD for supporting my plan.
With the support of HD.CLUB CO., LTD, my equipment and technology have been greatly upgraded to produce high-standard works.
This also makes me more determined to pursue what I love and continue to work hard on my dreams and creations.

Australia and New Zealand might be quite a journey for some, but they’re totally worth the visit!
Most people will have heard of Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. For three weeks every year, the coastal walk along the beach is transformed into a 2km long art exhibition called Sculpture by the Sea.. It’s one of the largest free exhibitions in the city and you can see over 100 artworks by artists from Australia and across the world.

Here’s something fun to do on a hot summer’s day in New Zealand: grab a boogie board and head 50 kilometres northwest of Gisborne to the Rere Rockslide. This natural attraction will get you rushing past the watery slopes as you splash into a huge pool. The Onsen Hot Pools are located near Queenstown in New Zealand and offer secret views across the Shotover River canyon. New Zealand’s native glow worm species, the Arachnocampa luminosa, are found deep within the country’s limestone caverns, where they spin their silk nets and lower themselves to capture their unsuspecting prey. Like our little glowing friends? The country is home to some amazing places to see glow worms, such as the Waitomo Caves. https://theculturetrip.com/pacific/new-zealand/articles/9-places-to-see-glow-worms-in-new-zealand/
