We have tied a banner that proclaims our “right to not sing our praises” onto the pole of the five-star flag in Civic Square to declare Demosisto’s conviction that the people is greater than the sovereignty and the country itself, and to oppose the government’s efforts to clamp down on our freedom of expression in the name of “protecting the symbol of the country.”
The essence of the freedom of speech lies in our right to speak, and it’s even more so in our right to not speak. Hong Kong citizens have the right to not be stern or ceremonious when facing the national anthem, and the government should not be able to dictate such kinds of behaviour and thoughts.

square type symbol 在 Sassy Urbanite's Diary Facebook 的最佳解答
Located at Kuah Bay, Dataran Lang is one of Langkawi’s best known manmade attractions, also known as Eagle Square, due to a large sculpture of an eagle poised to take flight. This 12 metre-tall statue is one of the island’s most instantly recognizable monuments!

Did you know that this eagle is Langkawi's main symbol? Because the word Langkawi has been derived out of two local words, 'Lang' which comes from the word 'helang' meaning Eagle, and the word 'kawi' stands for 'reddish brown'.
